When her father died in a car crash with Diane Pierce, a married woman with three sons, to run away, Raven Hawthorne swore revenge upon the family of the woman who took her father and made him abandon her. Now, she has a beautiful house by the woods to call her own, and a business she is proud of. Dalton Pierce and his brothers frequent My Place without knowing who Raven really is.

The family respects her for her no-nonsense attitude and amazing skills in her business. Dalton especially is attracted to her. They want to write a feature on My Place and would visit in a month to interview her about her business and signature cocktails. The oddest shimmer of connection always sparked to life when they were close. By the time I finished reading it, I fell in love with him! And I really love how close he was to his mom, and how much of a romantic he is.

And he loves listening to boy bands! How cute is that?! Add that with a body fit for a magazine and a face that could drops panties all over the world. Huge dogs have no idea how big they really are. Dalton and Raven are both likable characters who are inherently good people. Because of what happened to his mother, Dalton turned into a bit of a commitment-phobe. Raven is straightforward, and not mean about it.

The two obviously both have their demons they have to battle, so it was quite an adventure to watch them conquer it. It was realistic, and it made me love Raven even more. She stood her ground and knew what she deserved. It also made me giggle like a school girl and fall a little more in love with Dalton. I especially love the rapport between the Pierce brothers, how natural it felt. A story about letting go and moving forward. Forgiveness is so much stronger than hate.

She grew up angry and lost, wanting nothing more than to get revenge against the family that destroyed hers.

Dalton Pierce is at peace only when he is working restoring wood. He gets lost in the feeling of bringing timbers back to life. After loosing his mother, he also lost faith in marriage. He loves women and is very appreciative of their attention, but he can't see himself tied down to anybody long term. Dalton has been visiting the town's bar a lot more lately than usual, because he is after two very beautiful things. Even though she turns him down every time Dalton tries to flirt with her, he can't get her out of his mind. A story about letting go of the past and embracing the possibilities that life presents no matter if it comes with a man you swore to hate. She only has two problems. As the two of them get to know each other their attraction morphs to something bigger, but will it be enough to help them overcome their past once their secret connection surfaces?

Jennifer Probst has a knack for combining the right amount of humor, steaminess and angst. An emotional combination that kept me charmed while flipping pages hoping that a tragic past will intensify the love and connection between the main characters and help them navigate through the difficult path of trust and understanding. Been on the bedpost- notch journey before. Not looking for a quick score. Not looking for a quick anything.

I want to strip her down, savor every moment, and stroke every corner. I want to look at her naked and beautiful again and know I was the one there for the whole journey. I need it, bad, Raven. Her throat worked as she fought to process his statement. Her fingers clenched around the dish towel. Finally she pulled her gaze away and took a deep breath. It is a standalone contemporary romance with lots of wit and sexiness, a perfect rom-com fix. Told in first person from both points of view and has a happy ending.

I felt like this book was written a little different from the previous book. Any time, Any place has a more serious dramatic tone. Raven and Dalton are interconnected. This is kind of the theme of the whole book. Specifically she needs her bar refurbished and Dalton is the only person that can do it. Dalton is a good guy and he loves working with Wood.

My dad hates it when people paint wood, it should only be stained. Anyhow, I liked the banter between Raven and Dalton in the beginning of the book. Dalton flirts and tries to pursue Raven, but Raven wants to keep her distance and for good reason. When things get a little serious between Raven and Dalton, Raven struggles with her feelings.

I did like that there was plenty interaction between the two main characters and you see a nice relationship form. You also see Raven struggle a lot which adds to the tension. Overall, if you like the Pierce brothers you will not be disappointed. This new series, The Billionaire Builders series, is a new passion of mine. Grab your copy now: I'm starting to like more and more the way Jennifer Probst writes There s angst, passion, angst, remorse, grovel, passion and love It grasps you by the balls , you know what I mean Damn, I was refering to the book Well, hell yeah, thry are It was a good story! This novel was all about finding the ONE!! Ever since her dad ran away with Diane Pierce, and left Raven Bella Stratton, then 19 years old behind, she hated the Pierce family.

She never knew why her father decided to leave, she just knew the pain that his decision brought to her. Now years later Raven was a strong and hard-workng women. She loved the popular bar that she owned and was a gifted mixologist. She enjoyed what she was doing. And was finally ready to settle down. Dalton Pierce, cocky and charming and a gifted wood worker had no idea who Raven really was. He just knew that he was insanely drawn to her. She intrigued him like no other. He loved her prickly manner, was fascinated by her walls and layers that she hid behind.

She threw him off guard, and it was hard for him to keep his balance around her. A look, her scent, or a touch had him wishing and hoping for more. He was the closets to his mom and took her death the hardest. After living in California for a few years he came back home to take over his families company with his two older brothers. He had always been enamored by her ever since they met a year ago. Raven on the other hand kept her distance. But Dalton had a plan on his own.

He would slowly immerse himself into her life, starting with restoring her bar. He recognized that she was not immune to him and he was willing to go the extra mile, if that helped him to loosen her up enough to get her talking to him. Raven and Dalton were wonderful together. They had so many things in common. He admired her for her strength and work ethics. Also for her talents, and her tenacity, both spoke to him and challenged him at the same time. I loved that Raven came out and told him from the very beginning that she was looking to settle down and he was not the marrying kind.

Any Time, Any Place was a wonderful and solid addition to this series. Getting to know the brothers and their interactions added substance and detail to the families history.

All the women in this book were strong, affectionate and intelligent. Great counterparts to all of the Pierce siblings. Great characters and a wonderful plot is something I associate with a Jennifer Probst book. View all 11 comments. Aug 08, Sabrina rated it really liked it. Dalton is a ladies man and used to getting any woman he wants with only a smile. But then he meets Raven, a bar owner and the one woman he can't seem to charm. These two were really great to read about and I liked how strong their connection was. They had a really good build up of tension before they finally gave in to one another and Get it here: They had a really good build up of tension before they finally gave in to one another and I liked how intriguing it made their relationship.

This is definitely my favorite from the series but all of these brothers are amazing and I recommend the whole series. Do we remember what happend in the first book? With the first brother? The three boys' father just died and instead of leaving the family construction business to the son who has worked his ass off for the company, a lawyer tells them that all three sons need to run the company for one year - together, and make a profit??

And while doing that and fighting with his brothers Caleb fell in love with Morgan! Now it's Dalton's turn. He'll fall for the girl from the bar - we already met her. What nobody Do we remember what happend in the first book? What nobody knows is that she's the daughter of the guy who was in the car with Dalton's mom when they crashed and died.

And Raven's only goal up until now has been to get answers and revenge for the death of her beloved father. But now there's this hot, adorable, not-scared-away-easily and very cocky wood-whisperer working to bring the wood in her bar back to life! How can she resist that? How can she still want revenge when those three boys have suffered just as much as she has? But she doesn't know that yet. She still thinks their mother is the wicked witch who destroyed everything Raven comes across as this tough lady.

But of course she's still all broken inside from her father's death and everything that happened after that. Or rather what she allowed to happen with her life after she lost her dad. And Dalton is just the guy to heal her with his positive persona. So in love with wood and he's hilarious in his flirting with Raven and fighting with his brothers. I almost fell off the couch when he said that he needs to listen to music while working - but only one kind of music - don't judge I just loved this story.

Those two are just perfect for each other! They have a long way still to go until they can get their Happily Ever After, but they'll get there!! We just hope all through the book that the fact that Raven hasn't told the Pierce brothers who she is, won't be too much for Dalton to take in the end! They flunked out of military obedience school numerous times already! Run to your nearest amazon for your own sufer-boy-wood-whisperer! Because this one is MINE! The more she rebuffs his advances, the more intrigued he is. When they finally give into the sexual tension, Dalton and Raven realize they may have something special. But Raven knows things about Dalton and his family. In fact, Raven targeted the Pierce family for revenge. Will the past hurts keep Dalton and Raven from embracing a future together or have they built enough to overcome the secrets? I enjoyed this story and the characters. I felt drawn to the story and the people in it. The author Jennifer Probst did a great job of creating characters that the readers could empathize with and root for.

Both Dalton and Raven were good people being held back from love because of the way they lost their parents. Their inability to find out the circumstances of car accident left them unable to trust people as well as the institution of love. Their slow crawl to a relationship allowed them to chip away at their respective walls. They laughed together, they had fun together and they eventually found out they were compatible together.

In fact, Dalton did and said a lot of forever-ish things. That part seemed unrealistic to me. The chemistry though was tangible and the connection intense. What I do love about Jennifer Probst is she writes serious matter but without angst and you always leave her books feeling good about the conclusion. Her writing makes you smile, sigh, feel sad and later hopeful and happy. I definitely recommend this contemporary romance to those who love a good story about family, love and forgiveness. I look forward to book 3.

Sorry to say I wasn't grabbed too much by the characters in this one and the story line was interesting but in no way enthralling, for me it just seemed to drag along at a snails pace.

I'm a big advocate of you getting exactly what you like. Dalton Pierce, the youngest Pierce brother has met his match in every way with Raven. The hard-headed bar owner and the sexy, carefree woodworker come together and sparks fly off of the pages! Just when she thought she let her past go, it comes rearing its ugly head at the worst possible time. As feelings grow stronger, the pull of revenge gets weaker. But when the secret it out, will what they've built be strong enough to keep them together?

I just want to claim this moment and kiss you in the moonlight, because you're so fucking beautiful my heart hurts. The Billionaire Builders Series is some of Ms. There is a BIG story there and I can't wait to find out where it goes. Jan 17, 1-Click Addict Support Group rated it really liked it. The second book in the Billionaire Builders series continues on with Dalton's story.

In book one we found out about there are secrets in the family. This plays heavily into this story as it's the one thing that hinders Dalton and Raven, well mostly since they both share a past that needs to be unlocked. For Raven, she's hell bent on revenge for something she thinks the Pierce Brothers did. Which I think they got their lines crossed somewhere. Raven was hard to read at times.

She had many layers t The second book in the Billionaire Builders series continues on with Dalton's story.

See a Problem?

She had many layers to her. Dalton is a really talented woodworking artist, a perfectionist in his craft. While Cal's book was about house flipping and construction this was more about Dalton's love of wood and his passion. Finally getting into his own at Pierce Construction. Along with the bartender that has always intrigued him but always turned down his advances. Raven is passionate about her drinks, mixing them that is. She loves her pub and her only joy nowadays. Raven doesn't want to crush on this hot regular at her bar but Dalton has the hot factor.

Good thing she put her walls so thick and tall right? That connection that shimmers beneath the surface is there hovering. Dalton has to talent to restore her bar, make it shine like he knows. Once she does and they constantly work together. She wants to get answers though. Will her love to hate attitude towards the Pierces' be discovered unwarranted after all? Or will her quest for revenge hinder something good that can happen? I think actually their secret is pretty much equal on each end both betrayed leaving them unresolved.

I feel as though it could have been dealt with directly.

That said, I highly enjoyed the banter, back and forth and tension between them that stayed on simmer until it reached a boil. In fact, they are quite similar that it made sense that connection. I enjoyed that the most in this installment, the build up that I felt would come to the climax of it all. Dalton was definitely different from his brothers, in personality and outlook.

Most often overlooked for his player and not serious approach. Of course, we have cameos by one of the more recent characters from Jennifer Probst's other series too. The brothers bond is special to be part of. The author's writing style still wraps you in the story and keep you engaged. While I loved the theme of book one with the house renovations more I liked getting know a new aspect of it. I look forward to Tristan's story.

Maybe Brady will get one too. Dalton is the youngest of the Pierce brothers. It is something that has bothered him for a long time. The other thing about Dalton is that he has only ever loved one other woman and she left him. There is still a lot of mystery and unknowns around her leaving them all and they go unanswered as she died on the day she left. It would be fair to say that Dalton is a very Dalton is the youngest of the Pierce brothers.

It would be fair to say that Dalton is a very gorgeous looking specimen of a man and he attracts a lot of attention from women. There is one woman he desperately wants the attention of but she continually blows him off, feigning complete disinterest in him. He is someone she seeks revenge on and she is determined to see it through. His mother seduced her father, convincing him to leave her behind. Her relationship with her father was incredible so the only explanation for him leaving her was because of Diane Pierce and she is going to get to the bottom of the mystery surrounding their departure and tragic deaths.

The Pierce brothers are well known in their community and have a reputation for doing quality work. Dalton is falling over himself to do this project, he has been dying to get his hands on the woodwork in My Place and if he plays his cards right he might get his hands on Raven too. Raven is holding onto the pain and anger from eight years ago but it seems to be lessening day by day as she gets to know Dalton. He may be a charmer but he is also kind, sweet and quite a romantic guy. She is warring with herself, her body wants him, her heart is softening but her head is telling her to stick with her plan.
