Yes, it's graphic, yes, Minase sensei artwork's beautiful, but it's a novel, not a manga. When I read a book, I don't start it because of the art but because I want a good storie. This book fail totally in this regard. I saw this scene happen at the mention of the pool, really predictable, as we could guess that Asakura will travel to the office the next morning to bypass Kasuga.

It's after this that I stop. Just a thing that bother me. He is 23, so she is 20, he work here for one year, so her How old she was when she finish highschool anf go college? A miminum of logic, it's just what I ask.

The Lonely Egoist is one of those story where you already know the whole book from its summary. If it goes to your liking, well If it doesn't, you are not missing anything. Its selling point is its erotic scenes, yet it wasn't sexy enough for me to read it solely for the steamy scenes.

The art isn't that pleasing for the eyes either, and for the story Overall, it feels like I'm reading harlequin novel, but with male x male couple instead of hetero ones. So this is the first BL novel i've read i usually stick to manga or read english publicated novels so this really is a first for me. I have to say i was somewhat surprised, in a good way. First i have to say, although i liked the story and characters the writing style is not to my taste. That said, the passionate scenes were very well written. For the characters in general, they are generally ok, but could have possible used more depth and character?

The uke, Minami is fairly honest and straight forward, theres not much guile about him and his personality type seems pretty simple. I was a little bit disapointed by Minami's sudden leap from resistance to love Thanks for telling us about the problem. Return to Book Page.

May 24, Nejra rated it liked it. Yes, it's necessary to try out all beds!! Oct 14, Rebecca rated it did not like it Shelves: One of these days I will learn that I don't have to read every free book I pick up. That box of yaoi novels I "scored" will haunt me for years to come. Apr 22, Jaime rated it liked it Shelves: To start off with, I have to share a bit of a personal preference. Those hidden depths are what Minamin finally falls for too, though he does spend a great deal of the book resisting both Asakura and his feelings for the older man.

One thing that never happens in this book — Asakura never changes his selfish, demanding ways. I like that this book is about both characters loving and accepting each other for who they are, whether they deserve it or not. It was fun to watch him evolve from inexperienced and frightened to just plain exasperated, and still, he retained enough uncertainty that Asakura never quite gets to relapse completely into selfishness. They turn out to be a good compliment for one another.
