The attraction between Jerome and Dottie is strong with some hot and steamy sex scenes but the relationship is fraught with some highly tense situations and emotions that keep them from each other and causes some heated clashes as well. Vivid imagery brings the story to life and makes it easy for the reader to picture every scene as it happens and the intriguing events ensure that there is never dull moment. One person found this helpful. I received this book in exchange for an honest opinion Jerome is the second of the Whitcombe brothers.

His eldest brother Julian has now been reverted back to human and Jerome will too when the time comes.

He knows it be will be soon but he doesn't really even know if he wants to be human again. Thea has come to San Francisco for some medical help and is staying with Jerome. As soon as they met, they both felt the attraction to each other but they both fight it for different reasons. Jerome is especially having a hard time with this because he is afraid he will hurt her physically. One minute they are fighting and the next they are kissing. Jerome has asked Thea not to leave the house without someone with her She thinks it is because of her medical condition.

Zurik is an evil vampire who wants to kill the Whitcombe brothers. He had abducted Thea before to get to Jerome's brother Julian but it didn't work. Now he is trying again since Thea is with Jerome. Will Jerome stop being hardheaded and realize he loves Thea? Will he get to her before Zurik kills her? Honestly, this book was just OK. Jerome is not sure he wants to become human again much less deal with his feelings for Thea.

He even renames her. She is Dorothea "Dottie" Crawford but he thinks Thea fits her better. It just feels like ends are left loose, as did the first book. Would I recommend it? Not really but personally I will try to read the story about the third brother when it comes out. To the Whitcombe family, honor and family come before all else. Dottie had been kidnapped by the evil vampire Zurik and had a neurological condition that sent her into a deep sleep with little warning.

Julian had agreed to help and contacted a doctor for her.

The Vampire Jerome: The Whitcombe Legacy, Book 2: Ann B. Morris: leondumoulin.nl: Books

Dottie was Simone's step-sister, whom is engaged to Julian. Jerome had a response as soon as he touched Dottie. Dottie had been held by Zurik for two months. Jerome watched over Dottie as the others slept. Jerome admitted he had a love of sarcasm but was often cynical, self-indulgent, and at times, outright rebellious.

Jerome was the odd man out, most resistant to the change in his nature on his 18th birthday. He was also the middle child and felt he had been overlooked by his mom as well as Julian's shifter Michael. Jerome had always found something or someone else to blame when things didn't work out the way they should. Jerome was having problems with his balance and often got dizzy.

Jerome's second in command is Ambrose. Dottie is a very caring woman. She's attracted to Jerome. She can be stubborn, determined and very defiant. She's a good and caring person, even helping Jerome when he was a jerk. The book was really good. It was a perfect follow-up to the first book. I'm really looking forward to the third installment of this series.

Well this book was better than the first book. She has contracted an illness and Julian's brother Jerome has offered to take care of her while she sees a specialist in San Francisco.

Kindle Edition Verified Purchase. This was a good book. I enjoyed it and will surety read it again. One person found this helpful. The chemistry between Jonah and Angela stirs up an inferno of passion and desires but not without a great big helping of emotional issues that has lots of heartfelt turbulence flowing from the pages and these strong bewitching characters compel readers to step into their world as they face the toughest heartbreaks and triumphs of their lives in this fast paced, smooth flowing plot full of suspense, action and romance.

The scenes and details are well written, capture the imagination and make it easy for the reader to become absorbed in the story as the intriguing events draw the readers in and refuses to let go. I really enjoyed the Whitcombe Legacy. Jonah had gone his one hundred and twenty some years as a vampire without running into his mate. Yes she brought his life sustaining artificial blood supply to him when nature or something more sinister had blocked most ground transportation with that earthquake.

All hell was about to break loose. Jonah had battles to fight, evil to defeat and a ritual that along with his brothers had to be completed. Personal dreams picked a really bad time to come true. The Vampire Jonah brings the Witcombe Legacy to a satisfying close. Morris told a wonderful tale of three vampire brothers that captivated, entertained and delighted me. And in the end, what more can I honestly ask for. If you are a paranormal lover, if the fight between good and evil is your preferred reading material then The Vampire Jonah is perfect for you.

While I believe anyone can enjoy these stories separately, I would have to suggest to read them in order because in some ways each book builds on the previous stories. I would happily recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys paranormal romance or any kind of romance novel. That does not change what I think of this novel.
