It does take 3 AAA batteries not included but the light shines in the dark and shows the cat urine without any problem. It allows me to check in any room I want to -- the light is small and easily portable, but it does give a nice concentrated light anywhere I point it. It did reveal the urine, sometimes in unexpected places. Then I used the Stain and Odor Remover to eliminate the odor from the urine. This is the best one I have ever used. Cleans up after my cat's hairballs beautifully. As you can see, it leaked everywhere!

The "protective tape" didn't do a bit of good. The blue from the tape ran all over everything so we had to clean the bottles all off then lay down some foil on the shelf where we store it so it didn't ruin the white paint. The company knows this is a problem but their "solution" is NOT working.

Seriously, I've tried everything. Save yourself the time and money from trying them all! Mmmkay, so once I moved into a rental where there was cat pee from a previous tenant that had soaked through the carpet into the subfloor. It also had permeated through the carpet tack strips, floor boards, etc. I don't have words for how awful the smell was and how it felt like walking into a literal cloud of ammonia pee. The smell was still there though. I tried a ton of different store brands for cleaning the pet urine that was still on the walls and baseboards - none of them worked. I tried this and It actually cleaned the walls and baseboards enough to get the scent out!

It took several treatments bc the smell was so bad, but it worked when none others had, noticeably better even on the first use! I also use this when my dogs occasionally have accidents, and I've also had to use it on human urine from a defiant little 5 year old boy. It removes the smell and any trace of the area every time, and it has a pleasant smell that reminds me of scented pencil erasers. It never has damaged carpet or the coloring of any surface I've used it on. I seriously buy this in bulk!!! Use it with the carpet shampoo concentrate for a full room refresh.

I cannot even express how much i love this product. I have been using it for about 5 years now and i will use nothing else!

It gets out cat urine from carpet! Love this especially if you have animals and kids crawling on your floors because its naural, there are no harsh chemicals to poison them. Every hear of natures miracle. Kids and Pets please do not change this formula nor your prices and i will stay a customer for life. I received the products Kids and Pets Spray bottles and all 4 botttles leaked and so much so the ink on the bottles were so smudged.

Should have been packaged separately from dog treats and packaged for liquid items. This has gotten out vomit and urine smell from furniture, carpet, you name it. It easily takes new and old stains out and it has a nice smell to it. This is the only urine removal product I will use. It was recommended by a dog breeder, and it out performs everything else on the market. We recently relocated some cats into an environment with another cat, and there was a veritable pissing contest.

The three minutes they suggests to let it sit is not long enough. I completely saturated the spot and around it and let it sit overnight.

I then in the morning soaked up what had not dried. The smell was almost completely gone!! I let it completely dry and then sparyed it lightly again. The smell is gone. The cat has not used that spot again either. You have to put some work into it but this product delivers and and a pleasant smell. BelieverinClorox, August 16, We got brand new living room furniture last week. Not 24 hours after delivery, my fiance's cat sprayed both pieces. I tried two different enzymatic cleaners, a carpet shampooer, and dumping a bottle of vinegar on the stains.

None of those things got rid of the smell. I sprayed both areas very generously until they were completely soaked, and just left them alone. Several hours later there was no urine smell left in either piece. I would definitely recommend this product. MsMerBer, September 21, I suggest looking for a different product.

This stuff is useless for pulling out orders from cats that have marked spots. I have a senior cat that went outside the litter box and found two spots he used to relieve himself. I was hoping, with the positive reviews, this would remove the odor and limit the likelihood of the spots being used again.

Both spots are on hard surfaces, one being on laminate that was poorly installed with gaps and the other a floor air vent. This product does nothing in these cases to sufficiently remove the smell and have used nearly the whole bottle with my cat continuing to occasionally use the same spots over and over.
