The practice sessions in the classroom are designed to solve problems and give practice cases related to the topic. The practice sessions in the forest are designed to give experience in data acquisition from a forest stand being inventoried. The laboratory practice sessions focus on the acquiring of skills in the usage of forest measurement instruments and specific software in forest applications.
Number of credits theoretical, practical with blackboard, practical in laboratory, etc. The contents successfully passed in this exam are so considered up to the September exam, within the same academic course.
The dates of the exams in February and September are established by the School Administration. Both partial and final exam dates cannot be changed for the students involved. The qualification in the partial exam does not average with other exams. In addition to the partial exam, several test cases will be offered during the course for students to solve at home, involving the current contents of the course.
The partial and the final exams will contain several questions, some requiring long answers, others to be briefly answered, involving tests and the discussion and solving of practice cases.
The partial exam covers part I: Forest inventory see Contents. The top qualification is 10 points in an exam. It is passed if it is obtained at least 5 points with a minimum of 1. While yielding the exam, students are not allowed to use documentation, excepting those documents offered by the professor statistical tables, formulae collections and so. Programmable calculators are not necessary but they are allowed. The student must attend to the exam fully identified with DNI, passport or driving licence. The practice sessions in laboratory, computer room or in the forest are obligatory and will be made in equipment.
Every practice team will write a report including the used methodology and the obtained results.
