One story even deals with one mothers unbelievably difficult loss of not only twins in a pregnancy, but her prior loss of 2 small children in a tragic car accident. This story brought me to tears. Originally, I passed over the book, as I thought it would bring up painful reminders of my own loss, but then I had a young man ask me if I knew anything he could do to help his friend get thru a miscarriage she just had.

I found I had nothing to say as I dealt with my loss by blocking my emotions and becoming stoic. Then started spotting at work in my third month and the ultra sound showed no heartbeat. They sent me home and I lost the baby, going to the bathroom, on Christmas Eve The loss affected only me, and I was alone in the pain.

I wish I had this book then, as I would not have felt so alone. I will suggest this book to anyone at all as you never know when you will need this information or even want to pass it on. My heart goes out to the parents of babies too ill to live. This subject is difficult because the pain never goes away. The loss of a child is much harder to deal with than the loss of a parent or sibling. That being said, the stories shared give good advice about how to continue living a fulfilling life, even if life has become meaningless without them.

I highly recommend this book. Personally, I learned some things from these young parents that I would never have thought of in the same circumstances.
