Join us this First Friday in celebration! At the end of the evening, books in the bin will be divvied up between the stewards and will go to stock the Little Free Libraries.

Harry from Palace Glass will be installing our stained glass window on Monday! The window is a gift to ourselves on the occasion of our 25th Anniversary in the book business. Be sure to stop in for a look next week! Their mission is to express, empower and entertain through theater. The company selected the play and raised funds to procure the rights to produce it. They held auditions and spent the entirety of their winter break from school to rehearse.

The show was performed to sell-out crowds and garnered rave reviews. University of Nebraska Press is the largest, most diversified university press between Chicago and California - a local treasure with national acclaim. Join us on the evening of June's First Friday to meet people who work at the press.

SP CE Commons is funded by freewill donations from a core of regular contributors and a fluid group of regular, occasional, and one-time donors. Open hours, classes, events, etc. Important decisions are made using a consensus model that is ever-evolving. Programming at SP CE is meant to be enriching for both participants and organizers.

Currently SP CE is utilized by a variety of people, mainly people who like to read, people who want to teach or learn skills, people who want to impact the reality of their community, and people who create. It is their hope that more and more people in the neighborhood where it is located will be empowered to engage in creative pursuits and with each other at SP CE Commons. We have lots of great books from a recent purchase.
