It has a photo of almost every stitch imaginable so that you can compare yours. This way you're able to critique your stitches or count them or even make out easier to find your mistakes. An important reference book for everyone's library to contain.

So glad that I have it, since it also teaches you how to make all these stitches as well. While this is a phenomenal book and great for a crocheter at any stage of learning, it lacks any guidelines or help for the left-handed person struggling to make sense of the right-handed instructions. I've been crocheting off and on for the past 23 years, so in many ways I can ignore or reverse directions pertaining to a righty versus a lefty But I know there are other lefties for which doing so is either impossible or a greatly complicated task.

For this reason, I hesitate to give this book a five-star rating. That being said, the pictures and detailed pattern information are wonderful to have at my fingertips. There are several stitch patterns and combinations that I've either never heard of or I've never tried. I'm excited to get to try out some of these patterns! One person found this helpful.

Exactly as I had hoped. Informative, excellent photos, and even covers basic Tunisian stitches. You must be able to grasp basic pattern symbols but that is covered as well. This partnered with your favorite how to video makes learning new stitches easy. Use it all the time for ideas for new patterns and edging. Spiral bound makes it easy to read and follow instructions. Great diagrams and plain language.

I have been crocheting for many years; however, I could do a few stitches that my mom showed me. So everything I made was those three stitches. With this book, they show you step by step how to do different stitches and how to put those stitches together to make different patterns.

Now, I am able to do different patterns with the helpful picture tutorials. Downside, I still cannot read a pattern very well but I can make beautiful blankets and other items with the help of this book. This is two thumbs up for anyone!
