Overall, this book is a fun read! I feel like if I would have read this book as a young child I would have really enjoyed it. This book is definitely teaches readers the importance of being yourself and is a book that I would definitely include in my classroom library as a future teacher. After we had received our book talk, more than half the grade wanted a turn with that book. Not only is GBG a transitional book in literary terms but her story is transitional.
