But was referred to this book on a Prime promotion by my daughter-in-law and have not looked back since. I have set myself a goal of trying the recipes from this fabulous book which I don't cook , and my expert Jamaican cooks, raved over my results. Next to conquer Mackerel Run Down and the Harddough bread. Love the way the book is divided from soups to desserts. Recipes are simple, ingredients readily available where i live in the USA Congratulations on your first publication!

I liked the selection of recipes, the easy to read format with mouthwatering pictorial displays. I loved the snippets about the country presenting an invitation to the international reader, to visit Jamaica!! I will be looking forward to your other publications in the future! Haven't used any of the recipes yet, but I can tell the recipes are authentic. Very Nicely written, straight forward recipes that stick to tradition and don't seem overly complicated. Something for everyone too. If you do a follow up book, please do more recipes using the BBQ which is a good segue to the following: Turn and cook chicken as you would cooking any other chicken until done. Taste the islands

There is vinegar in it so I would say if stored in the fridge it would last about a couple weeks. Garlic and oil can be problematic but vinegar should counter. Please correct me if I am wrong on storage. I assume that is fresh ginger?

Or is it ginger powder? Just made it again yesterday and that was when I thought about it a little more. If it is fresh ginger then I am putting way too much powder ginger in.
