I also think it misses some very small villages along the coast, we were really hoping that we could find a book that goes into more details about the "off the beaten path" places. But for the bigger places of interest, I think this book does great about the details. The accurate descriptions of the smaller towns and beaches help us to make better choices in our travels.

Top things to do in Copper Canyon I did look through most of your posts before I asked the question, but I like the idea of some form of help since we do not speak spanish.

I will look over your reviews. Your advice is very appreciated. It's a little over miles from Guaymas to Los Mochis, or about a 4 hour bus ride.

  • Getting to El Fuerte from San Carlos - Copper Canyon Forum - TripAdvisor.

Can you leave your car at the hotel for 2 to 3 days? If you are driving your own car, and then do intend to drive to El Fuerte, you will need to get your vehicle permit at km 21 south of Nogales. If you drive to El Fuerte if you park at the Hidalgo they will keep your car behind a locked gate.

Samenvatting

You will have to get a car permit as you will be leaving Sonora and into Sinaloa. Bobbear can explain better but Sonora is a permit free zone but Sinaloa isn't so in that regards the bus may be easier. El Fuerte is a very cute town worth a day to explore.

Octroyez-vous une récompense

I know you have to stop at the check point 21 to get the car permit but what I can't find on the forum is if it is very time consuming or just another stop? Is there a fee? Can you get a bus from San Carlos or do you have to go to guaymas?

  8. How long of a bus ride is it? Yes, you can only get the vehicle permit at km 21 south of Nogales, or at another border entry point. The buses that go to San Carlos are local municipal buses. You can also take a taxi of course. I take the bus all the time to Guyamas from San Carlos for about 80 cents.
