The stories are funny, the books are good hearted, and the parents are loving. My husband even wandered in and stayed to listen. It's rare that a children's book achieves wholesomeness without being too sweet. This book does it. It's a great read aloud and safe for bedtime as nothing bad happens and each chapter finishes with a happy ending Review from my son: I love Peter and Penny.
The crab story is my favorite. They go everywhere and the boys have to catch them. I like the silly stories.
