Marissa had left Frankie after she knew he was on the road to recovery from his bullet wound to go train for more Titan Security manoeuvres to help her with the job.

He was heartbroken that she left him but she wanted to be on her own. This story is a great mystery right up until the end and with excitement every step of the way. Naturally after she reunites with Frankie it becomes quite erotic at times and never dull. I like how she decides in the end she is not a killer but a protector. He figures out that he does not need to protect her but just wants to be with her. She knows she can work alone but still wants Frankie around. They are so sweet together and have each other's back.

This was an exciting thrill ride until the final conclusion that you do not want to miss. I could see more, adventures written for our hero and heroine. The twin owners of Titan Security should be interesting to read their story next. One person found this helpful. Marisela Morales is a private investigator for Titan International. She's called to Boston office of Titan to guard borrowed jewelry for the Boston elite. While doing guard duty is reunited with Frankie and stops assassination attempt on Craig Bennett.
Titan is hired to investigate the past and find the hired gun. The only clue to the case is a note saying "Remember Rebecca Manning.
Marisela is always going to want Frankie as partner in the bedroom but he needs to let her make her own choices even if it means including Ian. Ian is learning to trust Marisela's instincts while investigating this particular case. Marisela and Frankie must dig up the truth that is long over due in being brought to light after fifteen years. The key to gaining that truth is Tracy Manning, who is being protected by her brother Parker Manning, and no one knows where she's at.
Meanwhile the assassin is looking to recruit Marisela in her mission of revenge. What does "Remember Rebecca Manning" mean?
Will Tracy be found? What is the truth?

Your answers await you in Dirty Little Lies. I have to say I'm impressed with Marisela's character. She is such a raw and rough character that knows all about making bad decisions and choices then facing the music so to speak.

I personally think she gets to be a grittier character through out the whole book. I love alpha male characters in general but Frankie and Ian both have egos that could fill up a small bathtub. That being said doesn't mean I hate their characters just the opposite. You can almost see the internal struggle in each of them. I hope to see more of these characters. I love the plots and the characters.
Dirty Little Lies
The books leave me wanting more, in a good way. Kind of like the way just one bite of filet mignon is not enough, you want the whole steak. I like the fact that the characters are not perfect and the situations that they are put in are not black and white. There is no cut and dried right and wrong, there are situations that call for judgement calls that have to be made that are challenging to say the least. I hope and pray ok that's a little over the top , but I really do hope that she continues the series because I really want to know whats next for all of her characters.
Dirty Little Secrets thrusts the Latina private investigator into the world of high-stakes politics, Boston blue bloods, and an assassin with an agenda only Marisela Morales might understand. Frankie Vega still has her back, and lots of other places. Their attraction is still as seductive as a slow salsa on a hot Miami night--tough given the setting is Boston.
The fact that her boss, Ian Blake, still wants Marisela brings out the machismo in both men and oh I do love a good fight between "hound dogs. Makes life hard for a tough chica like Marisela. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and it definitely goes on the keeper shelf. A kick-butt action adventure with a hero as hot as the heroine. Both Marisela Morales and Frankie Vegas have a checkered past.
Being a former gangbanger, or spending time in prison doesn't always make you a good investigator but in the case of Marisela and Frankie their street-smart creds serve them well. As does their sassy, smart-mouthed spirit.

This is a terrifc action packed mystery with lots of twists and turns that make the plot as engaging as the characters. It you like hot, sexy well-written romantic suspense, Dirty Little Lies is a winner all the way! Leto character's are mysterious and sexy and you never know what to expect.
The action keeps you going until the end, throw in some compassion and you have a great read. The owner of Titan is a total tool but he makes the suspense. I can't wait to see what Marisela and Frankie do next! I hope Ms Leto will find time to delve into Max's story a little more, he seems totally interesting.
