I wanted to start running again to see if I could get back to my college age weight and I bought this book. It has been fantastic! The sections on injury prevention and initial goals are especially useful as it is easy to get all gung-ho and over do it. This book is well organized, well written and a must read for new runners trying to lose weight. If you've tried running like me many times and given up then this book is well worth a read. It gives you all the basics you need and more.

It's now a pleasure to run and I'm amazed at how far I can now go without getting puffed out. It's really given me a sense of how good running is for you and just how unfit I was before.
