Feb 15, Mara rated it it was ok Recommends it for: Let me start with a warning: This is very a good PNR romance that avoids the most common pitfalls and problems in the genre, simply as an example, lust at first sight, an HEA without costs.

Here we have lust at first sight, it's glamour, but the heroine is able to resist. And the HEA has a price, for both the hero and heroine. This is something really fresh, from what I can see. So this story has a great potential and is probably a ve Let me start with a warning: So this story has a great potential and is probably a very good read. Unfortunately it didn't appeal to me. I'm not interested in stories of seduction which is basically all this book is about.

It did improve at the end when the plot moved along to Faerie. But I cant' say I really enjoyed reading it. Mild spoiler view spoiler [ As a consequence I kept noticing minor or trivial stuff or tricks to forward the plot. In this later instance: As a matter of fact, this matchmaking friend business really annoyed me. I'm not sure I like a friend who doesn't protect you from a threat, but actually push you towards it. And at that point of the plot, Hunter was really a threat.

Aug 10, Irene rated it really liked it. I really like it: It's about two half-faes - one member of Unseelie Court and son to the Unseelie Queen of Air and Darkness, the other one - daughter of the Seelie King who does't believe in Fae and sometimes thinks her mother to be a lunatic.

Editorial Reviews

So Hunter is told to seduce Kiera so that she will bear a child - the heir to both Seelie and Unseelie courts. But he fell in love and couldn't go through with the task Prince of Air and Darkness by Jenna Black is a very cute approach to the Faerie myths. But he fell in love and couldn't go through with the task that's not to say that he didn't sleep with her and get her pregnant eventually. The fight between good and evil, human and Unseelie parts in Hunter is very intense and he deserves the happy ending.

I really like that the characters are very believable. Kiera doesn't believe her mother when she tells that she's a doughter of a Fae - I wouldn't either. And it's not like Hunter changes his drift in two pages time - it takes some thinking over and hard choices - which makes his struggle with himself and his destiny all the more believable. And I like it in books when things go as planned, so to speak, when there are no strange changes in the characters. It tells me that the author has given a lot of thought into the process and storytelling!

Queen of Air and Darkness snippets – TMI Source

In this fast paced read, Prince of Air and Darkness, Hunter Teague, has been given an assignment by mommy. Seduce, impregnate and abandon half fae, Princess Kiera Malone. And she's sent one of her more ruthless enforcers to ensure her will is done. Of course one of the things wrong with this scenario is Kiera doesn't know she half fae, anoth Actually 3. Of course one of the things wrong with this scenario is Kiera doesn't know she half fae, another is she's suspicious of Hunter's appearance in her life. Need more, she seems immune to his charm and of course he falls for her the synopsis spoiled this - not me.

I liked Hunter's first reaction to Kiera and their gradual relationship as opposed to the insta-love and most beautiful ever. This wasn't a bad read, it was just uneven. Dec 04, Kylatia rated it really liked it Shelves: This book was one of my major excitements about getting a kindle. I read a few other books by the author and when I saw this one was a digital version only it helped push me into getting my new toy. The story is good, it's not a basic she's MINE and everything will work out all right because they are soul mates.

The action was good, the whole plot idea was different, and I love the crunchy evil outside of Hunter and the soft inside. I also like how Kiera holds her own agai This book was one of my major excitements about getting a kindle. I also like how Kiera holds her own against the magic and doesn't roll over for Hunter because he's a prince of the Unseelie Court. She doesn't back down from what she wants and will do what is necessary to keep her loved ones safe.

Apr 07, Katie rated it did not like it. I'm not sure if Miss Black has another series following the timeline of the lovechild created in this book, I haven't checked, but I'm just going to assume she has because that's what this book felt like. She needed to create a convenient backstory for this super awesome powerful lady to grow up human and have a hidden heritage. So like, romance was mostly unbelievable, I got the chemistry and sexual tension but things just went from 0 to 60 back down to 0 and then back up again. I felt llike the I'm not sure if Miss Black has another series following the timeline of the lovechild created in this book, I haven't checked, but I'm just going to assume she has because that's what this book felt like.

I felt llike the whole thing was sort of lackluster. She was connecting the dots that she had to hit with the straightest line, nevermind it didn't make sense for the characters to do or say or feel whatever they did.

Book Trailer 2 - Son of Air and Darkness

I really enjoyed it! This quick read, follows Jenna Blacks different view of fae that I recommend. Dec 31, Steffy rated it liked it. May 09, MartyAnne rated it it was amazing. I know what to expect from Jenna Black, so I give it 5 stars for being just what I wanted when I downloaded her latest. What about the sex? This one is halfway between YA and Adult in terms of the sex scenes -- there are some, but not the same level as her Adult books. Which I think is appropriate. Jan 03, Pam rated it liked it Shelves: This was an enjoyable, quick read.

Perfect for being holed up at home during a blizzard Snow-pocalypse ' I liked the two main characters Hunter, for being Unseelie, has managed to retain enough of his humanity to not behave in horrendous ways. Kiera was able to see and love the humanity in Hunter. Kiera's Mom and best friend provided comic relief Just a fun one sitting read.

May 20, Readsalot81 rated it did not like it Shelves: Was actually a DNF. I usually enjoy books by this author very much. The heroine didn't do much for me, and the hero.
