He explains how many roadblocks there really are all tied up in Jewish writings, myths, oral hand me downs, and the reinterpretation of Law, on and on. He has a clear bias against anything New Testament. No wonder with so many of the roadblocks to faith in Christ. I read his book through the end being faithful to my money spent.

Book review: The Divine Symphony: The Bible's Many Voices

Knohl is deeply troubled within resisting urges to overcome those troubles by reinforcing such a confusing back round. He would simplify his great wealth of historical burdens by accepting Jesus Christ as a viable part of The Jewish culture, heritage and breakthroughs. The greatest problem for Jews wanting to overcome these dusty roadblocks of traditional habits and become liberated Messianic followers of Jesus Christ are because of New Age thinkers like Dr. Most of what he records he tells you are unsubstantiated oral stories. Internal fightings for interpretations and the like.

All because they refuse Christ as their Savior. Knohl shows his grudge. Too bad, as he appears sincere.

He is just misguided by unreliable traditions. Knohl gives a breakdown of the rocky road to monotheism and the many factions involved. Knohl separates and analyzes the different factions involved in authorship of the Hebrew Bible. The different factions J, D, E, P, and H had different linguistics and sometimes competing ideologies. Knohl maintains that harmony can be achieved by looking at the big picture, hence the divine symphony which can only function with all its members partaking and cooperating.
