I made all the increases and I'm supposed to start the moss stitch but the poncho is very short. It's supoosed to be to 31 cm with moss stitch but is barely 19 cm and i know the moss stitch won't make up the difference.

How do I work the remaining stitches when my working yarn is at the end of the stitch holder? Do I cross all 9 stitches that I just slipped or should I be knitting the first 9 stitches and then slip them? Thanks for your help! What alternative yarn can I knit this with.
