It's not a matter of becoming someone else as it is really more a matter of finding that dark part of myself that everybody has someplace. I also approach it from an amoral point of view rather than immoral. He was not some cokehead going nuts. And in a sense, that made him scarier. They turn up in Forbes magazine when they list the world's richest men. I'm not one to do a whole lot of research and approach it that way, but I did already know about Pablo Escobar and the character is based on him, very loosely.

Much of the film was shot at an unfinished hilltop mansion in the mountain resort of Tagaytay called the Palace in the Sky that Imelda Marcos started building in as a guest house for a visit, never made, by then-U. President Ronald Reagan. And then we blew it up. On May 16, the unit had been filming for two months and was due to be finished on May A helicopter took off to film a scene, then veered to the left and plunged into a foot ravine.

About 10 people were hospitalized, including actor John P. Ryan one of the film main stars and stuntmen and actor Matthew Gomez. The helicopter accident was the second involving a Norris film.

During filming of Braddock -- Missing in Action III in the Philippines, four soldiers working as extras were killed in the crash of the military helicopter the film company was renting. These were people I'd worked with for years-they were friends. After the accident, the production looked at alternative locations, including Puerto Rico. They transferred to Tennessee to complete filming.

The families of the men killed later sued Cannon films. Whether this new island is the missing Arakko remains to be seen, but it is definitely an option. Tags: x-men , feature. It's not only more brutal and action packed than Death Force, it's also better written, more so even than the I enjoyed Death Force, I really enjoyed Fire Force.

It's not only more brutal and action packed than Death Force, it's also better written, more so even than the novels I've read so far excluding maybe the recent Battlefield 3 from Andy McNab and Chris Ryan. It won't be long before Matt Lynn hardbacks overtake them as the top selling Fathers Day novels. I look forward to reading Shadow Force, the third in the series. Everything was very graphic! A lot of blood and guts and the mercenaries had a charmed life. Had I been interested in guns it would have been really good as the detail of all the firearms and ammunition was explained in minute detail. All the same a good yarn and another book I am glad I listened to rather than read as I would have found it a bit heavy going. Aug 12, Andronicus Kok rated it it was amazing. Just finished reading Matt Lynn - Fire Force.

A great book which brings u into a non-stop action pace zone. Steve n his gang has been called for another "Mission Impossible" Task. With more guts n nerves of steel can they pull it off when such crazy odds pit against them? Another fantastic book featuring 'Death Inc. Doesn't leave much to the imagination bringing some sense of the reality of what it must be like doing 'soldiering' of their kind.

Definitely recommended!! Jun 07, Alex Murphy rated it liked it Shelves: military-thrillers. A decent enough action thriller. Not as good as his first, and seemed to be a bit longer than it needed to be. While action packed at times it could be a little cliche which I think was my main gripe. A lot better than the first one, look forward to reading the next. Jan 20, Bec rated it liked it Shelves: read-in , series-military. Fire Force is the second novel in Matt Lynn's Death Force series, following the exploits of a group of mercenaries headed by Steve West.

I found this book to be interesting, with a plot line that isn't too common in action novels, but the action sequences were very much the same as what you read in books of this genre. The characters in this series are excellent - I love Dan and Nick the best, and it's fun to actually not like the main protagonist, who I find to be hypocritical and annoying. The writing in this series is pretty average, and there was even a grammatical error on the cover of the copy I read, but I don't read action novels for well put together literature, I enjoy them for the plot.

If the writing had been of a better standard, this book would have warranted 4 stars. May 25, Richard rated it it was amazing. Being a writer myself I can really appreciate the way this story was crafted. This genre of novel is very difficult to keep straight during the creative process, the book flowed, was interesting and kept me interested till the final page.

As I said before if you are an Andy McNab fan then this series is for you. I know am going to read the 3rd book in the series, and keep my eyes out for future installments.
