The quality of the instructors is top notch and David is a real master. I've always had a love for Salsa music and decide to refine my dancing skills. I first took Salsa lessons at Sevilla with David and loved his energy. From then I knew there was so much for me to learn and I couldn't stop there. I stumbled across their unlimited month Groupon pass in March and I haven't left since. I have fell in love with the dance instructors.

Anthony's salsa class is always challenging and so fun! I am always learning something new in David's salsa classes. There honestly is no going wrong with any instructor. They are all knowledgeable and unique in their teaching styles. They have made me such a better dancer, not just in salsa and bachata but overall.

Salsa Lessons - Majesty in Motion Dance Company and Salsa Classes

David and Anthony are both amazing instructors with genuine personalities. The place is clean and there is good energy as soon as you walk in. Classmates here are all so easy going and fun. No one is taking it too seriously to the point of frustration but serious enough to learn the moves all while enjoying it. I am really happy I chose this place. I have only been three times now but I really enjoy and look forward to my classes. They have become the highlight of my day. This is a great place, you will have no regrets.

David's wife and daughter are also a very nice element to this experience. It makes me happy to be supporting a family business owned by good folks. GT Classes at Majesty in Motion are great. All of the instructors are excellent.

Salsa, bachata, chacha whatever it is you want to learn, this is the place. After many years of teaching in other people's dance studios, David and Jennifer Stein now have their own - and seem to have put some thought into even little things that most other people don't - like squatty potties and a wide selection of toiletries in both restrooms - and musical instruments in the corner of the dance floor for those who know how to play along with songs - and for others to learn about what makes the sounds and rhythms they dance to.

Majesty In Motion offers a wide variety of group dance classes, individual lessons, and performance team training - as well as host a growing list of public dance at other venues. Now that they finally had their own first studio social, more dancing might also be offered here. Mostly, though, this place is likely to be for taking lessons and team practices. If you want to learn how to dance salsa or bachata or perform in public this is one of the best places to start - as did even many now successful local professionals. The studio itself is upstairs and not always easy to see from the street when driving.

Parking is free but limited both in a lot and on the street. David and Jennifer will give you the tools to feel confident on the dance floor in a welcoming and fun environment. Very down to earth couple who wear their love for the art of Salsa on their sleeves. Classes are often large. Material is broken down into understandable pieces. The instructors are kind enough to demo at the end of class so that you can record the material and practice what you've learned at home.

Download their Majesty in Motion app to view their class schedule and book your classes. Bright colors and plenty of dance floor space. The space consists of two large studios, one smaller studio for private lessons, and an office for staff. They've just relocated here so there's much more magic to come, I'm sure!

By the way, they teach Bachata here as well! David and his crew at Majesty in Motion are absolutely phenomenal! The first hour of the night was a class hosted by David and that was our first exposure to salsa. Needless to say, we had a great time and began taking classes at the studio soon after.

David and his instructors are not only great dancers themselves, but they are one with the dance. As instructors, they understand the physical and mental blocks of their students better than the students themselves and this is the defining characteristic of great teachers and the single most important quality that has allowed us to progress as well as we have with this dance company. Joining the salsa team has positively impacted my life in ways I could have never imagined.

Never having danced before in my entire life, it's an honor to be a part of a team comprised of such motivating, talented, and charismatic individuals. To be honest, the thought of learning how to dance first terrified me. Letting the music move you is easier said than done. I was terrified that I would never be good enough. I didn't know how to dance.

  • I thought I would "fail". So I held on tighter, tensed up, got stiff. David and Jennifer have taught me that the music's always playing. We just have to decide if we're still going to hold ourselves back, or if we're going to dance. Let go of those reigns. And then, when you're ready, let it carry you. Let it move you. We look forward to dancing around the world, but we'll always find ourselves back at Majesty! The 5 star reviews for Majesty in Motion already speak for themselves. You'll come across talent in most cities in this industry, but the quality of instruction at this studio is legitimate pro-level coaching.

I opted for private lessons for the obvious reason that you get one on one advice, tailored towards your level of experience. For me, it was my first time ever receiving lessons. If you're on a budget, the group lessons are a phenomenal deal and you'll likely end up meeting a ton of people at or above your level of experience. The training does not just end in the studio. Jennifer and David easily the best dancers that I know even encourage their classes to meet downtown or wherever the spot for the night is to dance together and further advance what they learned in the studio.

I've been here maybe a total of 3 times now. This time was a much better experience then prior times as I've previously reviewed. An even amount of shines to partner work was noted which caters to all students, and can I say I truly admire their partner work combos so I was extremely happy I got the opportunity to learn with them on that. Their classes are challenging, which is what any dancer is looking for and the crowd was a friendlier group today.

I intend to continue classes here and see what is there to offer, they are a talented crew! I danced with them , and even with the passed time, their fundamentals, footwork and techniques stick with me to this day. If you commit the time with classes and their teams , you WILL improve, dance at a level you never thought possible. Their style is funky and FUN! If you're thinking about learning, go to MIM. It'll be an awesome experience and give you a lifelong skill. Friendly n fun environment. I go alone and always feel comfortable.
