Success at first attempt and no further dilemma. Anyway the most disappointing part was definitely the romance and the character development, because basically those are not really there. The characters are closed off to anyone else, except for the child. And they remain such until the end of the book, when they suddenly realize they will have to improve their communication. That's true, but I did not believe in it, as it did not seem backed by any deep willingness to change. Maybe the Australia setting made this one work for me.

Because the heroine was a blind fool. You wonder why Reilly is upset with you? You got pregnant, had the kid and never told him! Then she shows up 5 years later and demands another child. Ok the reason was good, the first girl is dying and needs stem cells.

But the way she just shows up, let him be angry cos you stole 5 years of his first child's life first. So Lea has issues. Daddy issues, and she wanted to do it alone. Reilly was Maybe the Australia setting made this one work for me. Reilly was a good guy. A former rodeo driver, and well, I liked him. Maybe not every thing he did, but I understood him. We all know they will end up together, but there will be struggles first since Lea is a fool.

Aug 09, Michelle Styles rated it liked it. Enjoyable story about the outback. As a Silver Brumby fan, it was great to have brumbies in the book. However, having had a C-section, I did get pulled out of the book towards end because the heroine was way way too active almost immediately post recovery. You can barely stand up straight! But it is a good escapist read and Nikki is an up and coming author. This was a freebie and was shocked it was a Mills and Boon story my mum used to read them when I was little great story line that had me hooked and I really enjoyed it.

Not one of my usual books, but a good read. Short but sweet Enjoyed reading all the family tribulations old problem's. Relationship s on The edge. Understanding and joy spans generations. Leaves you wanting to know more. Loved reading this I loved reading this book. I thought this book looked good before getting the book and thought l would see what it was like. Mar 21, KiKi rated it it was amazing. I thought it was well written and even though it got a bit too sweet for me in places, had a good plot to it.

As her walls came down he proved himself more than worthy. As the story progressed, my initial thoughts of him changed and I saw that underneath the gruffenss there was a good man with a big heart. He also had a bad past and his understanding towards Lea is part of what made him so close to perfect in the end. Overall this is a lovely story that had the perfect happy ending.

I thought Lea and Reilly had great chemistry and I was really rooting for them to get it on long before they did.

This was quite a quick read but I did enjoy it. Nov 08, Cedar rated it really liked it Recommends it for: And yes it is a reunion romance, but with a slight twist. A woman who has alienated herself from most of her area's society in choosing to do it alone, and in Outback Australia, far away from Cities, and Shops, and Mothers Groups this is no small decision. Lea has a little girl called Molly, spitting image of her father, however she is deathly ill, and her hope of survival rests in her fathers hands, and also in the arms of a baby not yet conceived. Stem cell research, in its most basic form is required to save Molly's life. But at what cost, and when is that cost too high?

  4. I loved that this book brought up Stem Cell research, and not as something that people point pitch forks at screaming The idea of having a baby to fix another is distasteful, however with Stem Cells, its the placenta and cord blood used. No harming of baby. Its really a blood transfusion and cell growth at its most pure form. So the book needs to balance this.

    Reilly is pretty good value.

She comes barging into the difficult reunion scene-mom and dad had a one-night stand several years back, before mom slipped out in the night- and drops the bombshell of her own existence. And when the kid is sent off to play carefully on the porch, Mom drops her own bombshell. She wants another baby, to save her daughter's life.

The hero gives her a flat no and tells her to leave. This is only the beginning of this juicy, emotional story. The hero, an ex-rodeo rider yes, they have rodeos in Australia , has his reasons for his no, and he comes to explain them. The heroine gets her desperation across to him. They negotiate their deal, but -- Oh, it's just a lovely, lovely story. I decided to read this one because I felt like a nice fuzzy braincandy romance, and this did the trick. I enjoyed the Australian setting, and learning little snippets about the outback along with the story. I also liked that the stem cell research itself wasn't a big deal - or not for Lea or Riley, anyhow. Mind you, I didn't wonder why Riley didn't question Lea about the "designer baby" aspect. Surely that would've been something to attack her with when they were fighting? Overall, an enjoyable read, and worth checking out if just for the 'kiss in the kitchen' scene ; Mar 04, Ann York rated it it was amazing. Jun 03, Joanna Brocklehurst smith rated it really liked it.

This was a great book, a real heart string puller especially when you know someone who's been saved by the stem cell procedure. Now Lea must approach the cowboy Reilly and not only tell him he has a daughter he knows nothing about but also convince him to have another baby with her to be able to save the one they already have. Arrangements are made and he does agree but in return he wants to keep the new baby himself. Was a real heart wrenching story, kept me completely engrossed and yes there may have been tears! Apr 04, Rosie Comia rated it really liked it Shelves: I liked the introduction of the placenta-stem cell medical procedure although it's better if this topic has been delved more by the author as well the Molly's recovery although we all knew she got better or was healed. Mar 28, Joy rated it really liked it Shelves: Set in rural Australia, a woman tracks down the man who fathered her daughter during a one-night stand.

She has an unusual request: The father, a rodeo rider with infertility-causing testicular damage all that bouncing around on bulls! It's a tough ride from here to romance. I really Set in rural Australia, a woman tracks down the man who fathered her daughter during a one-night stand.

I really liked the Australian setting, and there is a hair-raising scene involving a swimming hole. In some ways this read a little more like a woman's fiction issue book than a romance which I like! Sep 02, Annabel rated it really liked it Shelves: It was good my emotions was everywhere with this book and don't think it's anything to do with this pregnancy I loved how lea did everything she could to save her daughter but while she did an unexpected happen she fell in love It was good to read about how it all worked out and I think it ended really good The whole story was good and I think it was a good book and would recommend it to anyone even though its.

The H after his very initial inertia metamorphises into a great guy but as as i read on the h's thoughts n reasoning get so repetitive n annoying that you wanted to go out there n smack some sense into her. For someone who loves her daughter so much that she bravely ventures into a second pregnanacy with her one time lover, she sure comes across as a selfish scaredy cat towards the end Jul 16, Ammena rated it it was amazing. Finished this book in about two days would have been shorter if it wasnt for the NEXT sales It was such an inspiring tale and so believable I felt that I was connecting with all the characters in all of the lines.

Would very much recommend it to friends It starts with a mother who needs a child to help her living daughter survive, add a sterile unknown father who still longs for that unknown woman who ripped out his heart five years previously and you have the start of a loving family. May 28, JT Anoymous rated it it was ok Shelves: This book got me skipped a couple or more pages because its short of conversations between the two characters. Not really a fan for third person point of view, almost hard for me to understand.

I can't get to measure the character's personality kind of really vague introductions. Maybe if this book was written to first perspective or each character's POV maybe it will be more exciting for me to read it. It also lacks romance moment. Though is that what the writer's aim? Apr 12, Gurusharan Singh rated it it was amazing. Really miracle newborn love for them: The miracle love finally found them: Tell what is in your heart Never hide it from someone who really loves you, really cares, if it meant to be or not.

Tell your love that you love them from all what you have in you Make me feel so much pain with happiness Make me cry too Reilly and Lea had a fling several years that produced a child. Lea meets Reilly again to ask for his help after her daughter became sick. In spite of the few but noticeable typos, this was a pleasant surprise for me, because I enjoyed the development of Reilly and Lea's relationship over several months.

They started out as strangers in spite of their past and got to know each other with a few bumps and tense moments. I found this book such a sweet and delightful read. It wasn't too long and didn't bore me with too much information. I was disappointed slightly because the book didn't offer an insight into the couple's life after the baby was born. There was an epilogue but it wasn't enough for me. I wanted to read about their new life together. Despite that minor thing, the book was good. Jul 01, Diana Toba rated it really liked it.

It was a great book. There were a lot of emotions. A mother doing everything that is humanly possible for the love of her child. The relationship between Lea and Reilly changing as the story advances. I loved the fact that they both try to do the right thing for Molly and they try to be the best parents that they can.

I hope to see more books from this author. I can't tell you how much I loved this book. You'd have to see the puffy blurry eyes to see how much I sacrificed to read this. It was wonderfully romantic, with characters that you instantly wanted to be or be with. I want to make it law that everybody reads this book. Its not too long, it falls straight into the storyline and its free on Amazon. I really liked this book, like the characters and how they intereacted with each other based on their preconceived ideas about what the other person was possibly thinking and feeling.

But five years later she needs to tell him her secret…. Her only hope is a new brother or sister. Can he and Lea create a newborn miracle — and a future together? Would you like to tell us about a lower price? One big secret… When Lea became accidentally pregnant she decided that she would go it alone.

This is an inspiring story that will have you falling in love with the characters. I highly recommend it. This story had me gripping the arm of the Sofa. What I love about this story is that it sounded authentic and down to earth. Someone else gave a synopsis so I wont, but what I will say is that the writing is flawless, the characters described t allow me to live in them, feel their emotion and turmoil, their acceptance and love.

I enjoyed reading this book - - it had all elements of a good story. There was passion between the two main characters. Both Lea and Reilly endeared the reader to empathize with them.

The heart-wrenching fate of Molly. I won't say more - - don't want to give any spoilers! Although it's a given in romances that the awareness eventually happens to both the main characters when they realize they've fallen in love, it still tugged at my heart strings.
