I agree with some that there are typos, grammer errors, etc but not enough to ruin the story, plus you can find some even in the big name print books. For the price and the author's first story, it was great. I deducted one star for 3 reasons. First, early in the story there was an older character called Tank and shortly later there was a younger also called Tank and I wondered for awhile if it was a flashback, etc. It just did not seem to follow correctly.

Probably should have deducted 2 stars, but I really enjoyed the story. This book has amazing detail regarding how terrorist organizations work. It is well written and a great read. This is not a book you read in one day, the story will keep your attention. I would recommend this to anyone that likes action and suspense. Obviously I like this guy's writings. I've read about 4 of them - they can be a little on the poorly-edited side but easy to overlook - good stories; really keep moving -lots of action. Like the original Soft Target, the writing style is very heavy handed and frequently gets in the way of the story. I gave the first book a generous 3 stars because I enjoyed it overall, but I've had to knock one off here because if anything it's got worse. There are quite a few spelling and grammatical errors which really should have been sorted out before publication.

Jones style just doesn't let the story flow in the way that an exciting story such as this should do. Instead of weaving background into the narrative, he stops the action and clumsily inserts a big lump of it before returning. Sometimes it's not even relevant to the plot.
