Not sure what I expected from this book, and an adequate review is tough. This is a beautiful tale of a Dom who is a Shibari master and a woman whose craft is spinning beautiful ropes. Neither one is searching for a soulmate, but their common interest and instant chemistry forms a story that is so very beautiful. Not in any way your typical kinky story, however I cannot say enough about how great it is.

Twisted Strands

One person found this helpful. With a background of a small community where everybody knows everyone else, Twisted Strands explores the idea of a free-roaming man planting roots. Her encounters with Matteo show her that something is lacking. Seeing these two working through their issues and enjoying learning about each other is enlightening. It quickly grows into a full blown romance This book is very much different from the Fitted series but I like it.

At times it felt little slow on the story. I gave it 4 star because there some parts that felt that were a little slow. I preordered this book and it was worth the wait. Read this book If you love sweet romance with a bit of spice. If you haven't read her other books I recommend her Fettered series as well. This book was a hymn to rope play and I choose that word deliberately. There was a spiritual weight and heft to the story, to the words chosen and used, to the emotions involved.

I've never "gotten" what this art is about and now I feel like I do a bit. What an awesome, amazing experience.

It was an OK story. No where as good as the Fettered series. Moon writes stories that grab my heart and twist. This story was magical. My only complaint is I wish she could write more, faster. Another winner from Lilia Moon. See all 17 reviews.

I found this really easy to get in to and hard to put down once l started reading it I was happy to be reading the follow on to tangled threads.

I am glad that Eveleen moved on and got married. I was happy to read that Eveleen's mother found someone who loves her after her husband's tragic death and she is still raising her granddaughter. It is nice to read that Bridie gets to meet her grandfather and she nurses him on his death bed which is very sad to read but glad her grandfather was not on his own when he passed away. Bridie's uncle and boyfriend are both fighting the war. Leaving the women they love behind. Bridie also helps nurses soldiers who have been hurt on the front line and she must see loads of deaths when they can not save the soldiers and she watched her grandfather passed away to poor girl.

I hope Eveleen's husband and Bridie's boyfriend comes back from the war alive and unhurt so Bridie and Eveleen do not lose any more people they love.

I hope Eveleen's brother and Birdie's father is ok. I can not put in to words how great this book is l would tell people to read it for themselves to know how great it really is. This book is a must read l am glad it is on my book shelf with the first book in the series tangled threads. Margaret Dickinson was born in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, Margaret Dickinson moved to the coast at the age of seven and so began her love for the sea and the Lincolnshire landscape. Her ambition to be a writer began early and she had her first novel published at the age of twenty-five.

This was followed by a number of further titles including the clippie girls, fairfield hall and welcome home. Margaret is a Sunday times top ten bestseller. I love the book cover and l like that it comes in two different book cover designs and l love the colour and it is not too bright or not too dull. Five Out Of Five Stars Jul 25, Laura rated it really liked it Shelves: So I learned about halfway through this book that it's the sequel to another book.

Have I read Tangled Threads? But that is besides the point.

Twisted Strands by Margaret Dickinson

This book is GOOD. It is well-written, the accents don't come off too heavy in the reading of it which is good since poorly done accents annoy the heck out of me , and the story is engaging. Set in the era of WWI, it follows the large family of a young girl named Bridie and her aunt, Eveleen. Told in some contrasting viewpoints, it foll So I learned about halfway through this book that it's the sequel to another book.

Told in some contrasting viewpoints, it follows the two women along as they grow, suffer, and succeed in a war-torn England.

Will Harry Singleton ever accept Bridie as his own granddaughter, or have the ghosts from his past ruined his heart forever? And will Mary ever stop be an infuriating bitch?! The answer to the last one is no, by the way. Exploring themes like gender inequality, PTSD, war, love, courage and loss, this book has a lot to offer anyone who picks it up. I'm sure there are some subtleties I have missed in not reading the first installment, but it didn't dampen my experience.

Don't be fooled by the typical bland paperback cover; this is not just some romance novel with no plot. This is a war story with some romantic aspects. Mar 13, Em rated it it was amazing. An absolutely beautiful sequel to the best book margaret dickinson wrote called tangled threads which i read at the young age of sixteen. Her book was my transition into adult fiction. In person she is a warm and pleasant woman, much as her characters. This book is primarily aimed at an older market but can be read by anyone, she tackles issues such as females in the workplace, male dominance and love vs status.

Such a beautiful writer and both twisted strands and tangled threads were a pleasure An absolutely beautiful sequel to the best book margaret dickinson wrote called tangled threads which i read at the young age of sixteen.
