Lori King has a way of "roping" us in to the story that allows us to forget the outside world and become completely focused on what we are reading, and that there is what makes this story as well as the first two so much more. Plus, we get to follow the romance that keeps building between our other brothers and their lucky ladies, which gives us a little longer with them, because I don't know about you, but I tend to suffer from somewhat of an anxiety when I have to let go of my books.

Its as if I can't bare the thought of the story being over and having to put the book down and go back to the real world. So the point of all this, yep I have one, you must allow yourself the opportunity to fall in love with these four sexy cowboys and their lives on the Crawley Creek Ranch. I enjoyed seeing their story as they came together. Throughout we also see the other characters we've come to love throughout the series and see more of their stories unfold. This is one of my favorite series, this installment doesn't disappoint. The stories in this series are about second chances, forgiveness, family and love. It doesn't hurt that they are about dreamy cowboys. One of the things the author does very well is build strong characters with real characteristics, flaws and emotions.

This is a wonderful story that has been built upon from the previous books. While each book can be read as a stand-alone, I recommend reading them from the beginning - there are a few story arcs - to gain the full impact of these characters and their backgrounds.

I'll be honest the name Vinnie has negative impact on me but Lori's writing made it possible for me to overlook it.

The Lauren and Vinnie's story is a real heartbreaker when you realise so many years have passed alone, both thinking they were doing to right thing when their hearts weresaying otherwise. Lori's ability to give her characters their emotional backbone in a realistic plot means I will read anything she rights and Claiming H Lori King has done it again, her cowboy has stolen my heart. Except Rough Ride Romeo was deeper and a touch darker than I planned for. Franki's mission, coupled with Romeo's past, meant that my emotions were on high alert for much of this story.

This book was sexy, no doubt. It was broken up by charming moments of levity; once again, the brothers of Crawley Creek and Lacy were likeable, loveable and desirable. I'm most definitely interested in seeing more from them and Bran in future books. But the main story -- Franki's mission -- had my brow creasing and me hoping for only the best Rough Ride Romeo was a good book; the writing is solid, the story is intriguing and the characters are engaging.

The romance here felt a little rushed and the ending a touch abrupt, but all in all, it's the kind of book that will keep you turning pages long after you think you should go to bed Whatever your responsibilities, don't you be surprised if you feel the need to ignore them in pursuit of Romeo and Franki's HEA.

Filled with guilt, he spends his days barely getting through to his next drink or next easy lay. I enjoyed this second book in the Crawley Creek series. Through his sweet connection with Franki, Roman is finally realizing he needs to be sober to be the man he wants to be. Together, these two are magic. Now, when does book three come out? Jul 28, Heidi rated it really liked it. I was given this book in exchange for my honest opinion and a review. Each book i read by Lori King is simply divine her books are so spell binding, romantic and o so sexy. Instead he has turned to women and the burning feel of liquor in a sort of effort to soothe away his hurt and anguish. Nowadays she just isn't a real people person some might say she is more of a hermit, and she is so not interested in a playboy ranch owner either. She has one thing on her mind and nothing is going to stop her from completing her mission even though it could mean life or death for someone very close to her if she lets anything distract her.

Closing this gap between these wounded souls could mean survival or could it bring yet another tragedy upon them. Will their stubbornness to hide their pain from themselves be their very downfall, or will they come through this rough ride together? Another great read from Lori King where i found the first book in this series sexy as sin i found this book soulful and sweet with an edge of suspense and thrill and a happily ever after of course.

Romeo was a great character he is so lost in his world of pain he just doesn't no how to stop it he is once again a lost boy I found him to be such a soulful guy he just needed something or someone to pull him out of his darkness of booze and loose women. Thank god for Frankie. Then there is spitfire Frankie omg she is a lil hell raiser, from the moment we first meet her she just jumps out of the book at you, she is a troubled lady on a mission that is until Romeo gets in the way.

Her process for deciding whether to trust him or not is a bit iffy yes but she goes with the flow and evetually she trust him with her biggest secret. My most favourite scene was at the very beginnig when Romeo gets introduced to Frankie with a bang, Get ready for some crying have your tissues ready as this book will have you in tears Feb 25, Jennifer beck rated it it was amazing.
