Characters can gain XP -- which is used to advance their personal and group story -- from evoking certain emotions, from working on side quests, and from doing things that fit the type of story being told.

In a Pastoral game, you can gain XP from just sitting down next to someone and appreciating a sunset, while in an Adventure Fantasy game, you might gain it from getting into trouble over your head. Actions are diceless, resolved by skill level plus how much Will you're willing to spend; essentially, the game uses the 'mortal action' rules from Nobilis 3rd Edition, which are very clear and work well.

This collection of quests and paraphernalia includes a beautiful set of 69 printable quest cards; green flipcards associated with the "Poisoned" and "Bring the Storm" quests; and six flipcards useful in orange quest miracles. Every little thing that happens to your Chuubo's character builds towards the resolution of an Issue.

Soul-twisted with divine essence, each Noble is tied to the elements of reality itself -- tied to an otherworldly Chancel and charged with its defense and rule.

In service to Lord Entropy and the other Imperators, the Nobilis fight a raging war against the Excrucians, beautiful but deadly beings who seek to destroy reality. With complete control over your Estate an elemental aspect of reality , you fight battles both natural and supernatural, moving fluidly from worlds of spirit and myth to our polluted realm of highways and commerce.

Using your Anchors mundane people bound to your service , you may switch among half a dozen locations with a thought. Your Imperator may send you to other Chancels, into strange realities, or even out onto the World Ash itself. There is more to your world than any mortal imagines.

Sisters Jacklyn and Cassie Collier were looking to give their parents a unique gift for the holidays. Finding nothing in the stores, they designed a board game from scratch, crafted with their own childhood memories and family traditions.

Nobilis and Chuubo

After an evening of laughing and reminiscing around the living room, this hobby soon turned into a light bulb moment for the sisters: Her parents encouraged her to find other interests so she channeled her competitive spirit into board game playing and creative energy into acting, and she's been doing that ever since. Jacklyn has a Bachelor's Degree from Susquehanna University, a Master's Degree in Acting from the University of Houston, and has performed and taught acting around the country.

Cassie served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in a small dairy town in Nicaragua, where she taught Entrepreneurship courses to small business owners, and also brushed up on her board game-playing skills with kids in her community. Cassie was then part of a three-person team that launched Catapult, a global start-up incubator for young tech entrepreneurs.
