The only thing I can give the author credit on was that he came up with a title that would catch people's curiosity. The author spends his time and wastes ours my going through his day to day experiences as a foreign Anglo-American man who falls in love, gets his heart broken, gets a job, etc. Nothing truly about politics, religion or "The Rican Way". This book can be better utilized propping up a table. DONT waste your time.

That was one week of my life I will never get back and could have used reading something that I could have actually learned from This is a first person account of a "gringo" who spent 15 years in Puerto Rico. It is an interesting metaphorical intertwine of his personal plights and those of the Puerto Rican people as they fight corrupt government forces and socioeconomic evils.

The book, however, is very poorly written in that there are tons of gramatical and syntax errors. One person found this helpful. Kindle Edition Verified Purchase.

Puerto Rico: Land of Lost Dreams

What a unique perspective of Puerto Rico this author has! All I could think of was, it's like seeing Puerto Rico through the eyes of a lunatic. Don't get me wrong, it's not an awful book. In fact, I read it cover to cover in a few days time.

PUERTO RICO: Land of Lost Dreams

The only way I could describe it is that it's like watching a NASCAR race, you keep watching because you know there will be a big wreck sooner or later, and this author's life is a giant wreck. To state that the Puerto Rican people are so bad, while Dominicans are so respectful and quiet just tells me the author has never visited Providence, Rhode Island, commonly referred to as "Little Santo Domingo".

The point of Puerto Rico: Land of Lost Dreams is not to demonstrate fine English writing, but a little editing would have helped. Sometimes it was difficult to follow the author because his sentences were jumbled and often difficult to follow. His grammar would be graded "F," I'm afraid. Someone should have helped him so that his story would be more cogent and easier for the reader to understand.

Monday, January 31, Closure of As we reach the one year anniversary of the book the last year has been with up and downs. We continue to have our videos on You Tube either criticized for exposing the truth or even as much as banned off You Tube. Our sales overall for a book that is from an unknown writer has been better than expected. We only wish the book would achieve mass appeal in order to close a deal on a movie epic.

No other book based on Puerto Rico is, or possibly will ever be like this book about one mans life and opinions Posted by Puerto Rico: Land of Lost Dreams at Links to this post.
