Editorial Reviews. Review. 5 STARS! "Vastly entertaining, thoroughly and utterly amusing a Danelle is a writer you can trust to deliver great stories timeafter time! Having read the entire series now, it is clear to me that Harmon is a capable writer but Many other reviewers criticized Harmon's heavy handed use of dog.

For school-age children, school-based interventions, family-based treatment, and individual therapy are often used in combination. For adolescents, individual therapy is often used in conjunction with family intervention. Throughout all ages, medication may be a useful component of treatment to help address specific symptoms or to treat co-existing conditions e. There is also limited research data on the safety and efficacy of medications in the treatment of ODD. In general, medications should be started only after an appropriate baseline of symptoms or behaviors has been obtained.

For preschool children, there is some evidence that programs such as Head Start and home visitation to high risk families can have a positive impact in areas related to Oppositional Defiant Disorder ODD. In school—age children, parent management, social skills training, conflict resolution and anger management programs have all been utilized with varying degrees of success. For adolescents, psycho-educational programs, including cognitive interventions and skills training, vocational training, and academic preparations appear to reduce the disruptive behaviors usually associated with ODD.

A number of school-based prevention programs have also produced promising results. The focus of the school programs ranges from bullying prevention to interventions aimed at reducing anti-social behavior and helping children resist negative peer group influences. However, there is some evidence that group treatment can also have negative effects on outcome, especially among children and adolescents who are already showing signs and symptoms of difficulties. A wonderful book, and a good continuation of the series. Despite the general quality there are some issues with the repetitive "zingers" at the end of some chapters which has been on going through most of the books, so its something you get used to.. I greatly enjoy the series and the characters, they are not terribly complex, but generally I enjoy them and their heroism in the face of trouble. I love the Defiant stories.

They're my guilty pleasure.

It's a great fun read, nothing heavy or dark. Once again Homefront is thrust into the fire to take on all comers. I love that the henchmen finally decide to try their hand at world domination. Defiant is everything, and then some, that I've come to expect and love from a Pamela Clare historical romance.

Back From the Brink: Two Families’ Stories of Oppositional Defiant Disorder

It's full of action, adventure, suspense, intrigue, Review Update July 27th: I was recently made aware of a deleted scene from Defiant. It's full of action, adventure, suspense, intrigue, romance, passion, family, friendship, honor, humor, sorrow, and happiness. Connor and Sarah have a powerful love story and I became teary eyed when they finally found their much deserved happily-ever-after. She has created an engaging historical world where I can completely immerse myself in the time period and fall in love with her brave, honorable, swoon-worthy heroes and her steadfast, admirable, and endearing heroines.

I will alway treasure and hold dear to my heart the unforgettable characters of Iain and Annie, Morgan and Amalie, and Connor and Sarah. I am sad their story is over. That said, I was excited to learn this series isn't fully completed yet. Pamela Clare has announced she plans to release a few more books for us to enjoy. One for Lord William Wentworth and one for Joseph. I can not wait to find out what actually happened to Lord Wentworth view spoiler [during his captivity at the end of this book hide spoiler ].

I love these books. I've loved getting to know the MacKinnon brothers and the women worthy of such men. Thank you, Pamela Clare, for giving me three books full of characters I admire, love, and will treasure forever. View all 51 comments.

Och, I didn't want it to end!! I am going to miss these characters so much! Pamela Clare did a magnificent job bringing them to life--it's like they stepped off the pages and were right in front of me. Or that I was along with them on the journey. No one can paint a picture with words quite like Ms. From the very first page I was immersed in the story, and spent one hot There's nothing I can say in this review, no amount of superlatives I can use, to convey how much I adored this book! From the very first page I was immersed in the story, and spent one hot July Saturday reading the book cover to cover, only stopping briefly to wipe away my tears and collecting myself.

For me, I think this was the most emotional story of the series, not just for the story itself, but also because I had to say goodbye to the most swoonworthy heroes in all of Romance. God do I love those honorable, passionate MacKinnon brothers No recapping of the plot, the book blurb does a good job of that. Just some random thoughts and favorite passages I've dog-earred a lot of pages! There were more than a few humorous scenes, especially between Connor and Joseph Joseph's reaction to Connor's depilation: "You look good--just like a human being should look.

Of course I had to google that and read all about dogbane. I always appreciate Ms. Clare's thorough research--I'm a detail junkie and any little bits and pieces that are included in a story, especially when I can learn something, that just makes a good story great.

Sarah went from brave, defiant, and courageous, to totally kick-ass! I feel I struggle to breathe. And when you touch me I feel warm, even when it is cold, and still I shiver. I even thought maybe she had helped her friend commit suicide! But I was really stunned when she revealed her secret--I just didn't think to go there!

His confession to Sarah and her reaction the hug and her reply--"Have you not read the Bible, Connor? Even angels kill"--really moved me. This kills me every time, whether its Iain, Morgan, or Connor saying it. Most romantic words in this whole series Tonight I'll show you the richness of a man's loving. See how they fill my hands? I am yours. That scene just warmed my heart--at last Sarah had the freedom to openly enjoy her music, and to have someone be proud of her. Well, he made an excellent villain. But yet there's something about him I just don't want to give up on him yet.

I do think he's redeemable. I mean, he did give Sarah that harpsichord! And that unselfish act, when he finally showed how much he did love Sarah Wentworth needs a story of his own! And if he gets a story, that means we have to see at least Sarah and Connor again! The harpsichord A proud moment for Iain and Connor.
