  • Wikipedia in English None. Not so much am entertaining read, more like a college text on the subject. I found myself pushing through all the historical data. I stopped reading soon after when it became a chore and not a joy to read. However all of that maybe my fault.

    The Penguin Book of First World War Stories

    If you simply want to learn about WWI thus is a good book. A very easy read. However, it does raise a number of interesting questions on some popular misconceptions about the war, but fails to questions a couple of common myths. Taylor was an interesting historian and controversial in his time.

    He makes you think and question the usual history of the war.

    Having read this small volume, it prompted me to reread John Keegan's History of the First World War and I discovered how much I had missed the first time. Now I will have to move on and reread several other accounts that I have read before. Davies acknowledges Taylor as his mentor. Various , Nicola Yoon , Jennifer L. Armentrout , Sara Shepard.
