I LOVED this Sarah Roberts thriller! I wished I had started with book one - Dark Visions (simply for the background element)instead of book two but The Warning .

Appearing only to clean up the mess Sarah leaves behind as she follows the automatic writing messages her dead sister Vivian sends her. OK got all that? The author begins introducing major and minor players with rapid fire speed which left me spinning to keep it all straight. But read on I did soon to be rewarded by a slower pace and recap that made more sense. I don't like the "one hero save the world" type of storyline. Even as a work of fiction it lacks believability. No one is that good. Psychic communication always peaks my attention.
This however was very low key.

I gave the first book a little higher rating because it was the first in the series and I had hopes things would get better, however, the writing is poor. There are too many inconsistencies. The author writes as if he's writing for an audience with short attention spans. The story line is good and could be very promising, but unfortunately I don't care any more. I don't care about Sarah Roberts or anyone else in the books. I have already purchased This is the 2nd book in the series and I'm done.
I have already purchased the third book but I will cut my loses. I do not recommend this book.

My first suggestion is to start with this book - The Warning as books 2 and on feature an adult Sarah and are more action packed.
Jonas' writing style is very crisp and the stories move quickly and soon you will wonder how Sarah or other characters could possibly survive to the next book. It can be an emotional roller I have read the entire Sarah Roberts series from 1 - 19 back to back over the past 4 months and I am anxiously awaiting the release of book It can be an emotional roller coaster! A genuine thrill ride from cover to cover.

Book 1 introduces Sarah and other characters and sets up the rest of the series. After book 2 or 3 jump back to book 1 Dark Visions to see how it all began a few years earlier when Sarah was a teen. My second suggestion is to find Jonas Saul on Facebook. You will quickly find that Jonas is like no other author in that he interacts with his readers and goes Facebook live and he often has giveaways to his adoring fans. You will get Sarah news quicker than anywhere else. You will not only immerse yourself in Jonas Saul's books but you will find yourself posting to the group and interacting with Jonas.
There are many other books besides the Sarah series some characters crossover into the Sarah books. My final suggestion is that after reading any of Jonas' books - leave a review and tell a friend! This is a candle burner that will keep you up until the wee hours of the morning. And well worth it. Great characters with a superb plot and non stop action. What could be better.
