Coin Operated

Eli and Bea have been working together for a couple of years when they started an advertising company together. Over time their sexual attraction to one another becomes more apparent and more intense. But can they work together and play together without causing damage to the company or each other? There was one scene that had me shaking my head and asking myself Where the hell did that come from?

Coin Operated had enough emotional tension to make it an actual story, and enough sexual tension to make it one hot read. Oral, vaginal, some anal play. View all 6 comments. Aug 16, Ridley rated it really liked it Shelves: Since this is pretty short at 68 pages, there's not much to review, but I did really enjoy it, so feel I should say something about it. Elijah Elliot runs a successful but small ad agency with business partner Beatrix London, whom he's worked closely with for years.

They're a mix of business partners and good friends, but lately an unacknowledged mutual attraction has driven a wedge between them. Eli would just make a move on Bea, but he's terrified that the nature of his wants would repulse Bea. He doesn't just want her, he wants to dominate her in a million sexy ways. I liked the author's use of daydreams and fantasies to insert sexual tension into this short story.

It's just a continuous build-up until the smoking hot climax. Because she also establishes their extant friendship through flashbacks and memories, there's plenty of feeling behind their actions to give the sex emotional punch and establish a believable HEA. Highly recommended as a quick and dirty BDSM read. Apr 01, Heather in FL rated it really liked it Shelves: This was a steamy co-workers to lovers story.

We have Eli and Bea, who are partners in an advertising firm. They've each been having illicit daydreams about the other, though neither of them know how the other feels. Eli has dominant tendencies, but he's so afraid of them based on how a past girlfriend reacted to them.

And Bea is a submissive. Once Eli gives in to his need, he thinks he's harmed or will harm Bea beyond redemption, so he immediately pushes her away. At which point she kinda gives This was a steamy co-workers to lovers story. At which point she kinda gives up on him.

Hours of Operation

She leaves the office and goes straight for an attorney. When Eli realizes she's serious about leaving him, he just can't let that happen, so he gives it one last ditch effort. Which works really well for them. The story ends on a HFN, but for this story, which wasn't particularly long, it works. I'm not sure I need to know what happens next with them, and I'm not sure why that is, lol.

Normally I'm clamboring for more. It was, however, an entertaining, sexy story. Talk about scorching hot. I wasn't so into the hot coins Eli and Bea are one hot and horny little duo that can't seem to sync up outside of the boardroom. Thank goodness they got that worked out.

Coin Operated (Dirty Laundry, #1) by Ginny Glass

Highly recommend this and I look forward to reading more by Ginny Glass as well as the rest of the Dirty Laundry series May 22, MaggieReadsRom rated it really liked it Shelves: Eli is a Dominant and Bea is a submissive, they are undeniably drawn to each other but despite their fantasies of each other, neither makes a move to consolidate those fantasies until Bea comes up with a naughty presentation for one of their clients. Eli is the brooding A-type kind of hero. Bea is a sharp, dedicated and dependable woman.

Eli tries to fight his attraction to Bea. And what a first installment it is! The very first paragraph of the book sets the tone and immediately captured my attention. It opens with some explicit fantasies Eli and Bea are having of being together and it was hot. I love the office romance trope and I loved how the tension built up to the point where the fantasies became reality and climaxes in an explosive scene. Nothing heavy handed, just in an introductory, yet sultry way.

Through a captivating writing style Ginny Glass delivers a short but great start to the series with a good and intense build-up and a great execution of the fantasies. The Laundromat never sounded so exciting to me and doing laundry has never been this hot. Ginny Glass puts sexy in washers, dryers and laundry change! Jul 23, Susi rated it really liked it Shelves: This is the first book I ever read by Ginny Glass and to say she is a great new discovery would be an understatement.

Coin Operated is the first book in a laundry themed series. This story is about two business partners, Elijah and Beatrix, who are attracted to each other but don't want to admit it. As you can imagine that brings on some serious sexual tension in their every day work. The book starts with them both in a meeting fantasizing about getting down and dirty with each other- separately This is the first book I ever read by Ginny Glass and to say she is a great new discovery would be an understatement. The book starts with them both in a meeting fantasizing about getting down and dirty with each other- separately from each other.

OMG that was so hot. These two have an imagination. They both enjoy a bit of dominance play and that gave their day dreams an extra spicy touch. It was funny to see them both talking around their attraction. Eli is a dominant man at heart but he is afraid to admit it to himself. He doesn't want to hurt Bea and he is hellbent on the idea that giving in to his darker urges will do that.

So he decides to endure this torture and tries to find a way to separate their business relations.

Bea is highly attracted to Eli and would love to submit to him. But how do you get a stubborn man to do just that. She is nearly sure that he wants it too and she knows for sure that she wants to give it a chance. She's independent, smart and knows what she wants. I loved that girl. Loved her wit and the way she handles Eli. The pace of the story was great from page one and the witting conversation and sexual tension kept me glued to the pages. You should make sure to have something handy to cool you down. I enjoyed the characters, the conversations and for sure the sex is hot.

I know I will keep my eyes open for Ginny Glass. I have to say that Carina Press has some very good authors on their list- loved every book so far. Mar 04, Leslie rated it liked it Shelves: A quick, sexy story about two business partners that finally start to really communicate. Glass was able to put a lot of emotion into this novella. There are also some smoking hot scenes when Eli and Bea start communicating in a different way. Bea and Eli both want the same things. They want their business to grow and they want each other. It's that last part that they really need to work on. They both fantasize about each other and when they finally succumb to the fantasy they each get more than A quick, sexy story about two business partners that finally start to really communicate.

They both fantasize about each other and when they finally succumb to the fantasy they each get more than what they expected. I liked how Bea and Eli tried to keep their relationship professional, fighting the attraction that neither knew the other had for them. It's fighting and need to keep things professional that racked up the sexual tension. Once Bea and Eli take their relationship beyond the office they find they are an excellent match in both need and want.

I liked how they made the progression from business partners to lovers but would have liked to see more depth to that transition. They had a couple of stumbles but worked things out. Eli likes things a little rough in the bedroom and he's concerned that Bea will turn away from him when she finds out. Instead, they discover some things about each other that brings them both pleasure beyond their wildest dreams.

Coin Operated is a short, erotic story filled with passion and some very inventive and steamy scenes. Add in the emotional punch and you have an enjoyable story.

It wo Overview Elijah Elliot is a highly capable businessman. It won't be long before all bets are off, and Elijah and Bea find themselves unable to deny their mutual attraction.

I Liked -- Plot: Obviously for a novella, the characters have to have a previous knowledge of each other, otherwise it might seem Ginny Glass solves that by making the two long time associates, and moves the pace along with their hot-under-the-collar imaginings. I Liked -- Character: I was all about Elijah! He was a good alpha guy, taking charge in his fantasies, and their real encounters, but not coming off as a neanderthal.

Aug 03, Laura rated it did not like it Shelves: My standards for short erotica are rather low, I'm not expecting a lot of backstory or a lot of hurdles or anything. What didn't work for me here was the idea that the couple had been close friends for a while at no point did their interactions seem like two people who had the type of history Bea rattles off at one point, including comforting her grieving her deceased father and the idea that they were partners at work when she seems so subservient already in their non-sex interactions.

For D My standards for short erotica are rather low, I'm not expecting a lot of backstory or a lot of hurdles or anything. As it was, Bea doing his laundry, being called into his office, the assumption that she needs to leave the firm, it all didn't work for me. I quite liked Talk Dirty to Me , so I'm willing to read more of this author, it wasn't a dealbreaker or anything.

Oct 27, willaful rated it did not like it Shelves: I had actually thought the covers of this series kind of funny -- until I read this short novella and discovered that laundry isn't a metaphor, but an actual part of the story. Elliot and Bea don't literally get it on inside a washer, but it's almost that weird.

It made me lose all interest in the big exciting sexy bizarre finale. It didn't help that Elliot is a confused, inconsistent character and you never know what the hell he's going to say. It seems like a bad pun to call him wishy-washy, b I had actually thought the covers of this series kind of funny -- until I read this short novella and discovered that laundry isn't a metaphor, but an actual part of the story.
