This is a great start to a new series. I can't wait to read the next installment! The spiritual lessons learned made this a worthwhile read, too. I grew very fond of the hero and heroine by book's end. Outlaw's Bride made me chuckle and smile. The characters are lovable, even with their obvious flaws… This is a great read. The ending is incredible.

I could not put this down! I laughed, I cried and I absolutely loved the very well written story! I will be purchasing the second in this series as soon as I finish this review! You will enjoy this. I liked how the characters grew in wisdom and godly character through adversity. It was a little sweet but not overly so. Some books are sappy. Set in the western time, an old kind Judge once again decides to house an outlaw for the sake of the Judges' book on why criminals do the things they do. The criminal this time though turns out to be more than the Judge and his young house keeper, Ragan, bargained for.

The outlaw ,Johnny, has about a chip the size of California on his shoulder, along with Ragan being the eldest in her family and protective of those she loves. It's only natural when these two come to butt heads.

Personally, I found it an intriguing read. One never really knew what would come next in that Town. Every single one of the characters had a mind of their own in the story and I found that refreshing. I find many writers cut time and pages down by grouping one opinion and thought as the consensus of the masses. I do not want to ruin the surprise for anyone wanting to read it, but I found the solutions to the towns problems quit humorous One person found this helpful.

Ragan and Judge Proctor are researching the rehabilitation of criminals. Ragan decides she needs a break from the project but they receive one more, Johnny. Johnny has bitterness in his heart towards the outlaws who murdered his family.

Not really intense however it held my attention cause I wanted to know what about what happened. So a really well written good book. I like this author but this particular book was slow and almost unemotional compared to her other books I've read. I did like the main characters and their dynamic.
