In some cases, as with Chronicles of Narnia , disagreements about order necessitate the creation of more than one series.

If the series has an order, add a number or other descriptor in parenthesis after the series title eg. By default, it sorts by the number, or alphabetically if there is no number. If you want to force a particular order, use the character to divide the number and the descriptor. So, " 0 prequel " sorts by 0 under the label "prequel.

Series was designed to cover groups of books generally understood as such see Wikipedia: Like many concepts in the book world, "series" is a somewhat fluid and contested notion. A good rule of thumb is that series have a conventional name and are intentional creations , on the part of the author or publisher. For now, avoid forcing the issue with mere "lists" of works possessing an arbitrary shared characteristic, such as relating to a particular place. Avoid series that cross authors, unless the authors were or became aware of the series identification eg.

Also avoid publisher series, unless the publisher has a true monopoly over the "works" in question. So, the Dummies guides are a series of works. But the Loeb Classical Library is a series of editions, not of works. Home Groups Talk Zeitgeist. Madison and Fern had great chemistry, along the lines of Jeff and Violet, and Monty and Iris although mostly they fought like cats and dogs. This also had some good old fashion western action which I love. I enjoyed this story, although I wish Madison was less snooty and judgmental about Fern's humble origins.

He comes around though.

Seven Brides: Fern

Boy those brothers do fight like cats and dogs reminding me of my mother's family. I do have to hand it to Mr. He's not afraid to give his characters human traits and frailties, even if they made the characters less sympathetic at times. View all 5 comments. Feb 26, Cat rated it really liked it. I'm a sucker for a good romance with stubborn couples and this is no exception.

I have also discovered that I am a sucker for a good smutty book ahah!

I love the West and the dangerous and rebellious people that inhabit it! Well I inhabit it too so that would explain my rebelliousness! I loved the plot, characters, and story in all. Planning on reading the rest of the series!

One thing I didn't like-I could not put the book down! I have such a crick in my neck! Nov 20, Jaimey rated it really liked it Shelves: Even though I found the heroine a little irritating, it was understandable, considering her past. The hero was intriguing, especially since he was only mentioned in the first book of this series.

Some aspects of the story felt a little loose I liked this one just as much as the first one. Jan 14, Kathryn rated it liked it. He has been in Boston, where he attended school and became a lawyer for his friend Freddie. Iris is determined not to like anyone with the name Randolph.

There is a lot of fire and sparks to this story as these two set aside their differences and begin a friendship. Iris is very much a tomboy and Madison is very proper. It's set in the older western times of the US so I love reading about that time period. The book has it's funny moments.

It is very good in parts. The characters are well developed. You get to see your favorite brothers in action again. After enjoying Rose so immensely there was something that never really did "catch" me with the second one. Sometimes the plot seemed overly contrived, such as when she eavesdrops on something and runs from a party.

Rose was different in this one. Not in a bad way but one sort of missed the old, tell it like it is and showing such strength and wisdom. There were a few other parts that were hit or miss with me as well. When the four brothers ride together at the end of the novel, I laughed and it was funny because it seemed like an overly done theatrical trailer.

I didn't hate it but it was almost too much. I did enjoy this one, it was just so vastly different than the first that I can't say I loved it with the same passion. I still can't wait to read the rest of the series. This is such a great time period to read about. Otro libro de esta serie y de este autor que termina por gustarme mucho, aunque debo admitir que no tanto como el primero.
