This book is not yet featured on Listopia. As many of us having come with the experience of an immigrant family, I am always so interested in the experiences of other immigrant families and how these families evolved from the time the first family members embarked on a journey which would change generations. This is a wonderful book, relating the experience of a Norwegian immigrant, who eventually moved to the shores of British Columbia, only ever to return to his native Norway twice, but establishing himself and his family in the loggin As many of us having come with the experience of an immigrant family, I am always so interested in the experiences of other immigrant families and how these families evolved from the time the first family members embarked on a journey which would change generations.

This is a wonderful book, relating the experience of a Norwegian immigrant, who eventually moved to the shores of British Columbia, only ever to return to his native Norway twice, but establishing himself and his family in the logging industry. His granddaughter Myrtle Rae , the author, relates the story of the lives of the immigrants, their work, their lifestyle, and family relationships. These hearty Northern European immigrants were certainly the backbone of this great country of Canada, and this is a warm, wonderful account of their lives and their legacy.
