There is a variety of recipes from easy to more complicated to prepare. It is more than a cookbook with beautiful pictures. It is a complete book. So happy I bought this book. Thank you Maria for a book for dairy intolent individuals! But use common sense with some of the instructions! First, I'm so happy that there's a Ketogenic cookbook that is dairy-free. I am lactose-intolerant and I really think it will make the difference between sticking to this way of eating and not. There's a lot of variety in this book to keep me cooking creatively which is important to me.

I also like that the author didn't include recipes that simply substitute imitation cheeses. Even before I couldn't eat dairy I didn't like cheese and am so happy to see recipes not dependent on it. I've had the cookbook for 3 days and have tried several of the recipes. Last night I made 2 of them: Pork Chops with Dijon gravy on page , and Keto Custard on The instructions for the Dijon gravy are to "Stir until slightly thickened".

I knew that wasn't going to happen since it was just 2 ingredients; chicken broth and mustard. Let's just say it looked nothing like the picture which I think had to have been thickened for the purpose of the photo. Also, the gravy is white in the picture - don't know how that happened with 2 yellow ingredients! As for the custard recipe, there is a glaring mistake. As an experienced cook I knew there is no way this could be accomplished.

At the 10 minute mark the custard was still a liquid. I then took the 4 ramekins from the oven, added them to a pan filled with hot water to the middle of the ramekins and put them back in the oven. They were finally done "50" minutes later 1 hour in all. The custard is delicious but be aware it needs a lot more time in the oven than 10 minutes! Good cookbook and I'll enjoy using it. I just think common sense will have to prevail with some of the recipes. All of Maria's cookbooks are outstanding. This one is especially great!

She has a wide variety of recipes in it including sauces, main dishes, side dishes, lots of great things to make so you can take leftovers to work key to success on Keto is to take leftovers for lunch as well as sweet treats. Keto is such a great way of eating and using Maria's cookbooks makes all of the cooking so much easier. This is one of Maria's best cookbooks yet. Love that it's dairy free and there are so many great recipes and meal plans in this cookbook. Maria always explains the reasoning behind the ketogenic way of eating.

If you're into wellness and healthy eating there may be a lot of things that you're already aware of, but there will be things that will blow your mind over and over. Habits that you thought were in favor of your health and wellbeing, but have actually been pushing you closer and closer to ignorance. It's also not a book that you read once and put down just like that. Mine is already folded up in the most important spots that I know I will want to reference again.

It's a book that you'll come back to at the most random moments. It's the best crash course in nutritional education you could get regardless of your level of expertise on the subject. If you're trying to figure out how to lead a healthier lifestyle, this book is a must-have for you. I was so happy when I heard that Maria Marlowe, an acclaimed health coach, was going to release this book because I have always appreciated her advice on nutrition and healthy living.

The book offers some much needed tips on how to navigate grocery stores nowadays and how to pick out the best products. It comes in very handy when, for example, you're trying to figure out whether to shell out those extra bucks for the organic produce or stick with the conventional option.

You don't always have to go organic but there are certain foods with which you must go the organic way and this book makes it very clear which ones they are. I personally really like this book as a reference guide. A lot of the information provided may be like common knowledge, which is ok. There is a lot of breakdown on produce, grains, etc. I really, really like that. She goes on to provide even the type of cancers diets rich in certain foods can help prevent. It annoys me and takes away from something that is suppose to be educational.

Also, from what I've seen, there are very few recipes, which are actually how-tos. I think, overall, this is a great book. One person found this helpful.

I thought I knew a lot about healthy food and healthy eating, and then I read Maria's book! I am actually in the process of becoming a Health and Wellness Coach, and everyone of my clients will be given a copy of this book. It is very well thought out and researched. If you want to change your bad eating habits and have a clean diet, this is a must read! I have already purchased 3 copies! Pay very close attention to all the tips in the yellow boxes. This book tells you exactly what fruits and vegetables to buy and then how to store and even prepare them.

I learned everything from the benefits of certain foods to how to decipher food labels. The swap sections are extremely useful as is the section on choosing organic versus conventional produce. Thanks to this book I will be kicking off summer by feeding my family healthier! I had the opportunity to read an advance digital copy and liked it so much I purchased my own physical copy of the book. The information is very helpful, particularly the parts about purchasing fresh fruits and vegetables. I feel like I have a better handle on what to purchase at the grocery store so I don't come home with "bad" fruit.

It has earned a spot in my kitchen next to my cookbooks and meal planner. I don't even want to begin to think about the hours I have wasted in the grocery store not to mention the pounds I've added to my body before I read this book! I bought this when it first came out and also took an online class offered by Maria. One of the most interesting was about beverages - all the rage about coconut waters and almond milk becomes much clearer and I'm no longer spending lots of money on items that aren't delivering to the degree that I thought. Buy the book and then consider adding recipes of Maria's so it really all comes together!
