And yes, you can get paid for CPT employment. Once you receive CPT authorization, you can only work for the specific employer and for the specific dates authorized unlike with OPT or severe economic hardship off-campus employment, where you can work anywhere in the US. Your CPT authorization will also specify whether you are approved for part-time 20 hours per week or less or full-time more than 20 hours per week CPT employment. While in school, you can only be approved for part-time CPT. Regardless of whether you are approved for full or part-time on CPT, there is no limit to how long you can work.
As with all employment, you should work closely with your International Student Office. The general rules will apply somewhat differently to undergraduates, graduate students and PhD candidates, and they can guide you. The office can help you determine your eligibility for CPT, make sure your job offer qualifies, and make sure you follow all necessary steps in applying to USCIS. He has evolved as an artist since being immersed in NYC and now acrobatics, burlesque, and circus arts are becoming a larger part of his journey. As his alter ego, JoJo Carvel, he has performed around the city, even filtering drag into pole and aerial performances. Her goal is to be a full time performer. She grew up dancing Ballet and Modern. She attended a performing arts high school and graduated a theater major and been training in various artistic fields. Her first introduction to Aerial was through a friend and after a few classes she was absolutely in love!
She has been training in various dance styles including ballet, jazz, contemporary, and hip-hop for the last 20 years and moved to New York to pursue her dream of becoming a professional dancer. Her goal now is to incorporate Aerial dance into her professional dance career and perform full-time.
Butchie is originally from Staten Island. Dance and fitness are his life passions. He currently teaches group fitness at Equinox and Gogo dances for multiple gay clubs. Pole and aerial are the next steps to furthering his love of dance and fitness, while also creating more opportunities to teach and to entertain. Soon after graduation, she moved to North Carolina to study and audition at the American Dance Festival. During a company audition, Michelle suffered a torn hamstring. After 1 year of teaching, she received a phone call from the Alvin Ailey Dance Company, to return to NY, to help the company on the road with merchandising.
She stayed with Alvin Ailey American Dance company, training and traveling for over 3. Michelle was fascinated by pole dancing in college, but NEVER pursued it because of strict family values. Three years after that first class, Michelle began teaching pole dance classes and just last year she placed 1st in her first pole competition. During her time as general manager of an adult toy store, she gained the knowledge of the importance of body and sex positivity.
