Thousands of residents -- perhaps encouraged by newscasts and various media outlets -- tried to evacuate in their cars, which led to gridlocked interstates around Oklahoma City. Twenty-two people were killed, many of them in their vehicles [source: The El Reno tornado was also notable in that four storm chasers -- at least one of whom had a stellar reputation for safety and conservatism during storms -- were killed trying to outrun the twister in their vehicles.

Many experts hoped that their deaths might serve to hammer home the message that government organizations like the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have been broadcasting to the public for years: If a tornado is coming, do not get into your car. The CDC could not possibly be more explicit in its warning to anyone thinking about speeding away from a storm.

The density isnt higher at the start its a 7x7 square approx 2 players per square box realistically its about and as the circle gets smaller so does the number of players out of the games ive played theres usually around left in the final 4 squares thus it only being 2 per square whether it should be slower or not i don't think so this game is all about positioning and at a certain point gun skill stops mattering imo.

Happened to me again earlier. We had an enemy on front of us who pinned us down.

As we slowly worked our way up we noticed that they had left their position. Right after we noticed the zone was getting close, we started to run and saw the enemy running away in the distance. Then we noticed the zone was way faster than us.

MODERATORS

At this point we just had to run for our lives without caring about the enemy on front of us, but we were only a short distance away from being in the safe-zone. Sadly the enemy was camping at the border of the safe-zone and started to gun us down. A squad mate that took cover quickly died because of the zone and the ones who kept running were gunned down by the enemy.

I think the pacing is fine. When it comes to situations of being in a standoff with another team, the options are: A Retreat and run around the enemy while throwing down cover in order to escape the confrontation to avoid the storm.

B Have your team coordinate building forward cover stairs, walls, half roofs as you keep pressing forward. This should result in a quicker firefight. C Just simply play more aggressively. There's no sense in sitting around if you're in a standoff with the enemy. You either need to throw down cover and run, or throw down cover and attack. It was completely our fault.

All that being said, the zone still needs adjusting. We've had several instances where the very first circle is on the complete opposite side of the map with half of the circle being in the ocean.

If only 25 people are left after the first circle because a few squads got lost in the storm, something is wrong with the zone. Its obvious that the blue circle is a noobie killer. You have to manage your time.

Dont overloot cause you will find yourself out of circle. Choose the right fight if the safe zone is far away from you, because you could easily waste precious time. The time between circles are decreasing over time to heat up the fight, but keep in mind that the first circle does like 4 km over 2 mins at the begining, and it doea about 20 m over 1 mins at the end.

So it really slows down at the end to give us positioning time.

I agree it can be slowed down a bit. My question is can you out run the storm with certain characters? Because I never can but there have been a few times that I get killed then watch the person that killed me easily out run the storm I think you can get used to it after some practice.

The speed of the storm is fine by me. It promotes gunfights and makes play more competitive.
