A Dry Creek Wedding. A Dropped Stitches Wedding. Calico Christmas at Dry Creek. She has spent the last nine years taking care of her Grandfather and Aunt Tilly. Amy agrees to work for Gracie to get her house back in order, as she tries to protect her heart from leaping back to Wade.
This book is so full of emotions. Gracie who is being strong and facing old friends and neighbors who believe her a murderer, but she has a faith she did not have before prison. Wade is looked down upon for being Gracie's son and other revelations that come up. Amy is torn between her family needing her and wanting to be with the Stone's.
Meanwhile Wade begins to learn about this new faith that has changed his mother's life as well. Janet starts out by grabbing your attention about what happened nine years ago, then once she tell you, she keeps your attention because it isn't true after all. Wade and his Mother, Gracie return to town after she has spent nine years in prison for a murder she didn't commit. She confessed because she thought Wade did it, he is in shock when she shares this with him. Amy, I really liked this book although I haven't read the other 22 books in the series. Amy, his childhood sweetheart, overhears the confession Gracie makes to her son.
Wade and Amy are still in love with each other even after not talking or seeing each other for all those years, but each is afraid to let the other know because they don't think the feelings are still mutual. When Amy overhears Gracie, she doesn't know what to believe, she knows in her heart Wade could not have done such a thing, but if his Mother thinks he could have murdered his Father, it puts doubts in her mind.
You will have to read the book to see if Wade killed his father, if Amy forgives him, and if Wade didn't commit the murder and if Amy doesn't forgive him what happens. This book shows how far a Mother will go to protect her son, how you can change your life around and come to know God even in the worst of times. Once you let God in your life, faith will help you have patience to let the truth come out. It is a quick read and very good, Janet did a great job. This book was given to me by the author to review and give my honest opinion of the book. Wade Stone figured he would never return to Dry Creek, Montana but return he did.

Besides a revelation brings the old scandal back to the front of everyone's mind this time with new questions about what really happened. And can a beautiful old sleigh remind everyone what the true meaning of Christmas is? I loved visiting Dry Creek again and seeing some familiar faces. This was a perfect way to start off the holiday season! Even though there is still a little over 3 months till Christmas. The characters are loveable and Dry Creek makes you want to stay forever. I didn't want to put the book down!

This is a nice small town story with a bit of intrigue and mystery thrown in. The faith element is evident throughout and the love story of Amy and Wade is engaging and tender. I thought this book was just a romance novel, but it is much more than that. Janet gives a surprising twist that you do not expect I love romantic suspense! Gracie Stone goes to prison for a crime she doesn't commit. Wade Stone, Gracie's son, leaves town after his mom goes to prison and joins the Rodeo. Amy Mitchell, Wade's childhood sweetheart is devastated and lost when Wade decides to leave. In order to fill that void in her heart, she puts all her ti I thought this book was just a romance novel, but it is much more than that. In order to fill that void in her heart, she puts all her time and effort into taking care of her Aunt Tilly and Grandpa.
Wade tries to fill his void with the rodeo. Shawn Garrett, one of Wade and Amy's childhood classmates, is interested in Amy but her heart belongs to Wade. Shawn tries too hard to be accepted and attempts to fill his void with politics. I'm not going to tell who committed the murder; you will have to read the book to find out.
Can't believe I have had this saying currently reading when I finished it months ago! I am a sucker for all things Dry Creek, and this story line roped me in from page one! Okay, so the cover captured me too. I probably can relate to the characters in this book the most out of all the books I have read recently.

In addition to a sweet romance taking place in one of my favorite fictional places, Dry Creek, Montana, there is a great deal of mystery and suspense throughout this one, and things aren't always as they appear at first.
The plot deals with forgiveness, priorities and how they shape our choices in life, the danger of jumping to conclusions, and the sacrifices a mother's love might cause her to make. I really enjoyed the book Wades mother has returned to Dry Creek after spending time in prison. She dreamed of reuniting her family and Wade is the first son to return with her. He is not sure how long he will stay and is worried how the town will accept his mother. Amy is the girl next door who he loved before he went away. Amy Has loved Wade forever but is unsure about letting him into her heart again. It seems Wade was right to worry about the Firstly thanks to Janet for my copy of this book.
It seems Wade was right to worry about the reaction to his mother but she seems to be taking it much better than him. Watching the story unfold was interesting getting ready for Christmas. I do love reading Christmas stories and I think for me its because of the snow and and the magic of a northern Christmas being I am an Aussie use to warm Christmas's. Janet Tronstad writes books that are a really good read for anybody. Her characters are strong though our her books in this series known as Dry Creek. In her books Christian ideas make up part of the story that you are reading about and it makes you about your beliefs too. In this newest book set in Dry Creek at Christmas time she deals with lost love and how a town came together to forgive people who had been convicted of crime years ago.
But the town people can't forget the past either where the Stone family is concern. Even his long loss love Amy Mitchell has dealts about him too and on whether or not he will stick around this time. This book surprised me with a hint of suspense. It was more than just a romance. I found it to be an enjoyable read. Can a Christmas Pageant held in a barn soften the hearts of Dry Creek? He came back to support his mother, who was determined to go back. He meets his childhood friend Amy Mitchell as he and his mother are coming through town. Although her family is against it, Amy starts to fall in love with Wade all over again. I loved this book. I liked the way Gracie came back to Dry Creek after her release from prison. Wade wasn't comfortable at first because he was worried about how his mother would be treated. When he saw Amy again he realized that he still had feelings for her. Amy had loved Wade from the time she was a teenager. She wasn't sure if he returned her feelings.
She also was having trouble with some of the revelations that had come out since the Stones came home. I did like how she stood with Wade at the end Good book.
