She grows up, and begins to think and act like an adult, but for me it was too late. The subject of post-partum depression deserves to be treated seriously, but Paris was too irritating and unlikable for me to care what happened to her. You either loved her or you hated her and some of her choices seemed really harsh. It's not every day you come across a romance that uses some real to life situations that some women really struggle with. The post partum psychosis is a very real situation, and having that be a part of the story and something Paris herself delt with while growing up and watching her mother struggle and have it destroy her family, gave Paris some very real heart felt moments with me that I thought were missing at first.

Paris seems like a very selfish person with a mouth you may want to smack. As the story progresses, I was able to find myself giving her sympathy and was even able to relate with her. Turner Pruitt, I fell in love with his character in the first few pages. What a hunk of burning love LOL: He was a very patient, loving man. He put up with a lot from Paris and it was really endearing how he didn't give up on her.

Turner was sure that Paris came back into his life for a reason and believed in fate and how everything was happening to them for a reason. It was fun to see all this pan out.

I really enjoyed the secondary characters, Andre was a lot of fun and I loved Millies character. Sarah was questionable, when she first stepped onto the pages I knew she was there to stand in the way and make things harder for Paris and Turner and I quiet enjoyed that twist, but just when I started to hate her, she changed her tune. I would of liked to have seen her cause more problems and maybe put a little more struggle into the story.

I know Paris needed to overcome a lot, but just when I thought I saw some jealousy in her, it was gone and I really wanted her to see a little earlier the potential in her loosing Turner. One other thing that bothered me was early in the story it was mentioned that Paris met Turner at boarding school when she was 17 and he was It was also said that he took a trip with her to visit her mom in the mental hospital. Towards the end it was mentioned that Paris's mom left the mental hospital when she was 15 and was told her mom died.

That threw some confusion in there for me and I re-read a few parts just in case I was reading something wrong or just missing something, so if anyone has read this book and can explain that for me or please tell me I am missing something, I would appreciate it. I don't like having questions floating in my head: Oct 20, Amanda rated it liked it Shelves: This was a fun, quick read.

I did enjoy it, though it wasn't incredibly original in its premise. Still, I liked that Macpherson added a few twists to the "got drunk and got married in Vegas" story. I wasn't thrilled that Paris got pregnant with twins on their honeymoon, one of I think only three occasions in which they have sex in the book. I also didn't like that the babies were the only real reason This was a fun, quick read. I also didn't like that the babies were the only real reason they stayed together.

I didn't feel like I got to see them interacting enough for them to fall in love with each other. Mostly Paris just seemed like a brat. She was entertaining and unique, and I enjoyed the fact that she didn't take it very easy on Paris. Overall, not a bad story, but it was a little lacking in originality and a few of the plot elements just weren't to my taste. Apr 15, Lisa Keifer rated it really liked it. I expected this book to be fun and light. It was, but it had darker moments I hadn't anticipated.

SHE WOKE UP MARRIED

Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed the story. Paris comes off as unlike-able, but there is a reason for her thoughts and behavior. As for Turner, he does come off as a little too perfect. A bit of repetition concerning this is the main reason I didn't love the novel fully. Apr 21, Huda Sarkowi rated it liked it. This book definitely had it 'first book' vibe in it - a simple read that was pretty straightforward and sometimes rigid, and of course a happy ending. This book is not a total failure, I was looking for something light and uncomplicated and I got it. But Turner Pruitt, just quoting from the book, is the most patient man in the universe.

And Paris James is the crankiest, most pessimist, selfish wife ever that I somehow thought that if Paris want to leave, just leave. However, I like the subject of This book definitely had it 'first book' vibe in it - a simple read that was pretty straightforward and sometimes rigid, and of course a happy ending.

However, I like the subject of postpartum depression that the author has highlighted in her book. Not exactly a romantic comedy that I was looking for, but still romantic. May 16, Anneke rated it it was ok Shelves: Why did I even bother to finish this book? It started out OK, but the story lost pace once back in Vegas. Paris was annoying in my opinion and Turner was to good to be true. I loved Millie, the only one with good sense and human flaws. The issue the book tries to tackle is serious and unfortunately not uncommon for women. I just couldnt stand the way Paris whined and manipulated everyone, queen of selfpity Why did I even bother to finish this book?

The ending was soppy and felt somewhat rushed. I had no need for the epilogue.

So I decided that I would in fact go ahead and purchase the rest of the book. I love to read books that I don't really need to put much thought into. This is one of those books. However, it seemed to me that the Author foreshadowed the impending expectations too soon. Sure it was a major plot of the book, but I felt that I was alerted to it too soon.
