Burge es un experto en la literatura Juanina, y brinda una detallada exposicion sobre este Evangelio. La Introduccion cubre aspectos generales sobre la autoria, destinatarios, fecha, teologia, temas y estructura del Evangelio segun Juan. El formato de esta serie se divide en tres partes: Contexto original, Construyendo puentes, y Aplicacion contemporanea. Es muy util para comprender mejor el sentido original del autor y hacer una aplicacion mas precisa para nuestros tiempos. Burge no defiende la autoria de Juan el apostol, sino que propone que fue elaborado en su forma final por discipulos del apostol comunidad Juanina.

Es un comentario no tecnico, pero si valioso y practico. Es una acertada colaboracion de Editorial Vida a los ministros, pastores y estudiantes de la Biblia de habla castellana. Mi profesor de Nuevo Testamento en HST lo lista como uno de los comentarios de corta a mediano volumen importantes sobre Juan. Excellent job and good information tnx.
