There are a few black and white sketches throughout so helps keep her interested but she seems to really like the story anyway. We have already purchased the next 3. Be aware that the first book was a slightly different design than the other 3. I think they must of changed the covers a little.

It's not too annoying for me but may be if you are putting the set on a shelf and the spine is different. One person found this helpful. Thought this product would have more image illustration too it as the cover is very colourful and draws you in. It says reading age 5 and I brought for my niece but the book itself is very wordy and I would say it would be a more advanced reading age 5 and an adult would have to either read this book to their child or help with most of it.

I love this book because of the way it has lots and lots of imagination in it and I also love Daisy Meadows. She's got to have worked her socks off and have a great way with children like me especially when she has such a great imagination.

Would recommend to younger girls, but older girls may also enjoy. This is the first ever Rainbow Magic book and I think it is the best ever: S this is when Rachel and Kirsty first meet. Kirsty and Rachel meet eachother fist time in this book by Daisy Meadows. They meet in Rainspell Island and after they go to the end of a rainbow to find a old black pot shaking and hearing a little voice.

They find Ruby and she tells them once they have found the rest of her fairy sisters, she will get out the pot and they will go back to Fairyland. I would recommend this book for year olds. My favourite character is Ruby of course. This book has a big font and is quite thin. It all started when Rachel Walker was on a boat sailing to Rainspell Island. It started to rain, so Rachel and her Mum and Dad got under cover. Then Rachel noticed a girl stand outside in the rain happily.

The girl said her name was Kirsty.

product additional information

Rachel introduced herself to Kirsty. When they got to Rainspell, the girls found out that their cottages were next each other. Then they saw a rainbow. They went to see where it leads and finds a golden pot. But Kirsty, who belived in magic, thought it was the-pot-at-the-end-of-the-rainbow. They tried to push the pot over, but it was really heavy.

And Fairyland appeared on the surface on the surface. Ruby told the girls how mean Jack Frost had banished her and her rainbow sisters into the Human World. They said goodbye and Rachel and Kirsty started looking for her rainbow sisters. I love Ruby the Red fairy because she is the first rainbow magic fairy that has been saved! I love Ruby the red fairy! I think the book is fantastic. If you like fairy books then this is brilliant, but if you are not into faries then maybe you shouldnt read it.
