I like the characters. One person found this helpful. Bounty hunter Wrenn Saunders takes her job seriously. She'll do whatever's necessary to bring in her mark including putting herself in rather precarious situations. Wrenn has good reason to dislike shifters, but when she takes down werelion Spencer Dane, a major player in the drug trade even though no one can prove it, she receives help from two of the sexiest shifters she's ever encountered, Gideon and Jude.
Panther shifter Gideon Wells and cougar shifter Jude Caulfield are good friends who have no qualms about sharing their toys - including women. While both men are shifters they know and understand how and when to unleash their wild nature and otherwise go about their business as respectable men should. That includes protecting a certain bounty hunter who's arrested the head of the local lion pride.
Wrenn's an attractive woman but after witnessing her bold and creative arrest of Spencer Dane, for failure to pay child support no less, there's no way Gideon or Jude can pretend that she doesn't turn them on in a major way.

After fighting off the members of Spencer's pride who would have attacked Wrenn outside the bar, Gideon and Jude offer to give her a hand if she needs it but she rudely refuses. Spencer isn't her first collar and he certainly isn't the first arrest she's made that could have resulted in injury.
However, there wasn't any reason for her to be rude to Gideon and Jude either. After dropping Spencer off at Wayne County Jail and collecting her bounty she decides that Gideon and Jude deserve a portion of it as well since without them she wouldn't have been able to capture Spencer so easily.
How to Vote
What she doesn't take into consideration is Gideon and Jude's response to her gesture. She might view it as just being fair but to them it's an insult to be offered money for the part they'd played in the arrest. Wrenn's fear of shifters is wrecking havoc on her good intentions.
She'd like nothing more than to pay Gideon and Jude what she feels they deserve and never see them again, but there's a part of her longing to find out if the arousal she feels when she thinks of them is worth pursuing. Can Wrenn let go of her past and give Gideon and Jude a chance?
Wrenn's tough as nails bounty hunter persona serves to cover her more vulnerable nature and definitely hides her fears. Gideon and Jude's generous, caring personalities are charming and instill a feeling of protection; even when Wrenn doesn't seem to want it.

Bounty hunter Wrenn Saunders may look like she needs protection, but she is as tough as they come and she takes down one major badass in shifter Spencer Dane. Wrenn soon learns that handcuffs are more for just for taking in the bad guys. Again, wow this is one sexy short read that grabs you at page one and you are sorry to see end; Wrenn is wonderful, appearing tough on the outside but very vulnerable and scared on the inside, afraid to become dependent on anyone. Gideon and Jude both want to have wild sex with her but also want to protect and keep her safe from the memories of her past.
