As a proper Scientist, he acknowledges that external influences such as our Sun affect cyclic variations of Earth, but he admits that these influences are no his special area of expertise. His clear and non-technical explanations of how our atmosphere, Greenhouse Gas molecules and our weather work together should make this book an 'Essential' for those interested in the truth about our Earth's Climate Change which is occurring now just as it did billions of years before!
If one has preconceived beliefs this book is either trash or excellent. My bottom line is that it raises excellent questions that must be answered scientifically and not politically. Climate change has become political, that's unfortunate.

It is important to note that he does not question that some level of warming has occurred but holds that its amount "will be barely measurable in comparison to natural climate variability. He points out that most forms of energy on earth in one way or another derive from the sun which means that fossil fuels are merely another form of solar energy.
