It didn't feel like it was all about lust, but a genuine connection and affection existed there. If you're not a fan of gothic type books, don't let that stop you from buying this book. This was written in a way to set up a couple of sequels. I can't wait to read Lord Black's two friend's books; the duke and the scot. I have the other two books in paperback, been looking for this book, found out that I could down load it.
WOW, I couldn't put it down, so glad that I had the other two books. All while trying to find the evil one. Wow a must read series. Charlotte Feathers grabs in the beginning and you are on a great ride. Romance in its finest! Like getting e books. It is so fast. It is reasonably priced. This was a interesting story. Kind, studious, he has a kind of sexy science geek vibe going for him. That other unattached brother, Jake? Bit of a layabout, with no ambition. I was looking forward to the final book in the series, because I thoroughly enjoy Ms. I freely admit, I was wrong. Jake has a story.

Heath hits you with ALL the feels within the first few pages, immediately transforming the lazy, womanizing, gambling brother into a sympathetic hero. Fliss, the heroine of the story is his perfect match. Her last name is Blunt, and it suits her. I enjoyed their banter, as he tried his wiles, and failed in the face of her bald-faced honesty. She discombobulated him, and frankly, he needed it. But first, they must deal with a secret government agency, various lowlifes, and find their balance as a couple, respecting each other's strengths and weaknesses.
A beautiful end to the series, and an exciting beginning to Virginia Heath's new upcoming series. Now that we have secret government agents, we have a whole new crop of heroes! The first Warriner book was great, but as you continue reading the brothers story the plot gets boring; a Warriner will meet a young women, woo her for a couple of weeks, and then sleep with her, and then marry her later. The heroines in each story are very dynamic and different which I love, but I wish the Warriner's brothers didn't go down the same path of romance per say.
It's funny, cause in the second Warriner book, the priest accused the Warriner brothers of being fornicators and they are even though I couldn't stand the priest's terrible attitude. Overall I love the banter and funny conversations between each character. Heath has a lovely way of bringing humor into her stories but her plots and love scenes are just too predictable in my opinion.
Hated it to end. Would love to read more or the Warriners in the next generation. Please keep that in mind.
