Coloring her hair with shorter processing time, as well as using a 10 volume demi-permanent hair color, meets her scalp and style needs. Her lifestyle is on the go all the time, so she needs a style that is quick and simple, yet stylish and trendy. What I love about this cut is that it gives a youthful look to someone who wants to embrace their natural gray but still have a sense of style.

    Like most gray hair, hers is coarse and resistant. We cut off over six inches, tapering the back to remove the bulk and giving it a slight a-line with blended layers. All of this makes this cut easy for her to style at home. I washed her with Matrix So Silver to give her gray hair that brightness and shine. Before blow drying, I sprayed her with Agadir Argon Oil for heat protection. It also holds the hair in place and replaces hairspray. I used a light spray shine to finish it off since naturally gray hair and some styling products can dull the hair.

    It takes a lot of patience to grow out your gray hair. It is a slow process that most clients cannot do. I have a few other solid natural gray clients who like to have fun with color and we weave in lowlights to add some depth and spunk to their natural gray. This is a jaw length layered bob with side-swept long bangs. I kept a lighter color around the face to brighten and blend. My favorite thing about this look is that it is fun and sassy but easy to style.

    This cut and style are perfect for someone who wants texture and a fun look without a lot of work. It is ideal for fine to medium hair texture that is straight to medium wave. Oval, square, heart-shaped faces will wear this style well. This was a corrective shorter cut. This first time client wanted to re-balance the short layered cut she had been given previously at another salon.

    It grew out to a mullet, so I focused on shaping the cut from the bottom. The result was an a-line layered cut.

      7. The layers are blended well, primarily for movement. This is a very low key style that requires very little product. For volume, I used Voluspa spray gel by Sebastian. This a-line bob works for fine to normal hair. This cut can be air dried with a touch of hydrating product to prevent frizz, or it can be blown out for a polished look. Longer faces are recommended to go a bit shorter than those with full, rounder faces. This is a layered bob with side-swept bangs. It has a high stack in the back and is layered throughout to give it more movement.

      I really enjoy cutting bobs in general, but my favorite thing about this look is the lady I did the cut on. She is an awesome person and is always willing to try different things.
