Did I mention this is a deeply disturbing book? Read it at your own risk. I just wanted to wallow in this book like a hog in alphabet soup. It was a rush in every way. Prepare yourself for a bumpy ride. Windsor has you doubting all that appears safe and sound. Angels with a bad attitude don't make things better.

What a great story if you don't plan on sleeping for the next day or two. It will haunt you for a while.

I hear there are more disturbing books to come in this series. I will be "anxious" for the next one. I like it a lot. Specially because of all the religious controversy. I'm going for the whole saga: Another great story by an author who is really going places. Don't miss out on the opportunity to get into this imaginative tale! AND it will leave you in anticipation of the next edition. I am usually more of a non-fiction reader, but this book kept me captivated, awesome read!

It's the kind of book that once you start reading you don't want to put it down!!! Keep it up Mr. Just finished reading a book on heaven and hell so JUMP got my full attention. I love the imagery Steve creates. I hate not being able to put a book down - this author did it to me again - I can't put it down. Nice plots and unexpected around the corner. Amazing, riveting, energetic, both the writer and the story. If you want a ride of your life or a sleepless night, grab this right now. I know you wont put it down when you'll start reading this. Amazing plot line and characters, from an amazing author!

Do you believe that this item violates a copyright? On the whole the story was really enjoyable but there were a few moments where it leaped a little bit and I found myself going back to see if I missed something I hadn't but as an early work this isn't a major issue assuming it is addressed in the rest of the series.

As a start to a series it's not too bad, not brilliant but definitely has a lot of potential. Oct 02, Carol L. Hensley rated it it was amazing.

Death Mask Audiobooks * Graham Masterton

I can't believe I never read anything by him. I will now rectify that situation. I read the first Sam Reilly Book in a day, chances are I may do the same with the others! I was fully invested in this story from the beginning! Cartwright is a highly accomplished storyteller.

He takes you with him for the ride, and leaves you feeling like you just can't wait for the next adventure! Sep 27, Stephen Ashley rated it it was amazing. Making others die solely to have power is one of our weaknesses of our human race. The story revolves around an airship that has left Germany to escape, and it's demise. Wonderfully crafted and I was drawn into the story. Aug 31, Kim rated it it was amazing. Another fantastic book from Christopher, found it hard to put down, great story and I can't wait for the second installment.

It was just missing that little spark or plot twist to make this a great read.

This is not to say that it was not enjoyable book because I did enjoy many, if not all of the aspects of it. One thing that I would encourage is the narrator to have more voices that are distinct for each character. I could easily tell the characters apart however more clear and distinct voices would have given this book a better rating.

Overall, a good start to the series and I will continue with book too. I was provided a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for a truthful review via audiobook boom. This in no way affected my opinion of this work. Sep 29, Stephanie rated it liked it Shelves: I struggled a bit with how to rate this book because it's a mixed bag. The story is really great. I love the way the story was weaved into history, and the action kept me on the edge of my seat. The narrator was also pretty good. The voice acting itself was excellent in that the voices were consistent, the pace was good, the pronunciation was correct, etc.

Where it all fell flat is on the production quality. There are so many background noises and obviously spliced audio segments that it was inc I struggled a bit with how to rate this book because it's a mixed bag. There are so many background noises and obviously spliced audio segments that it was incredibly distracting. I really wish they had spent a little more time meticulously editing the sound quality.

The Last Airship

I had to knock an entire star off because of that. The print or Kindle book is probably a 4-star book, but the audiobook is a 3. I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left my honest review. The free copy did not influence my review in any way. Jun 10, Claire rated it it was amazing. This book has a James Bond sort of feel to it, lots of guns, some explosions, high stakes, a beautiful girl, and a rich suave guy. There's lots of intrigue and a few good plot twists, the writing is really well done, the good guys are likable, the bad guys are complicated, there are complicated motivations and this makes the story believable.

The narration is excellent, great character voices and the delivery helped enhance the tension in the book. If you found this review helpful would you please take a moment to click yes below. May 13, Jan Miller rated it it was amazing. I loved all of the twists and turns this book had and how it mixed historical elements.

Reminiscent of an action movie. I loved the details in this story, the imagery is incredible and I could envision so much. Sam Reilly is truly an incredible character who has the ability to be in the right place at the right time. He is extraordinary in his devotion to serve his country. The spy element that was woven into the book was outstanding. There is so much more to this book than wha Wow! There is so much more to this book than what I can describe. This book is part of a series and a standalone listen.

David Gilmore did an awesome performance with his various voices for the numerous characters. Christopher Cartwright wrote a gripping book with some endearing characters. I loved the character of Sam Reilly and will definitely listen to more books by this author. The ending of this particular book was outstanding. Dec 23, Lawrence rated it liked it. Definitely a brain candy book, would say that it compares to Clive Cussler. May 13, J.

Sure, Sam Reilly is a little too lucky to be true, but I found him likable. And sure, there are coincidences that stretch credibility, but it is enough fun that it doesn't go to the breaking point. Some of the descriptions of scenes and actions are a little vague, which hindered me from really getting into the story and from engaging my emotions. Overall, it was a pretty If it wasn't for the profanity and a brief but somewhat explicit sex scene, I would've liked this adventure story much better.

Overall, it was a pretty good story that could've been better, but because of the language and content I won't be following this author. I get enough of that stuff in real life already. Aug 05, Jennifer Lee rated it it was amazing. I enjoyed this very well written adventure.

The author the author did a great job at keeping the story very well rounded. I have read so many treasure hunting novels where the author misses out on some aspect, be it the history of the treasure, the exploration of the treasure, the character developmet, and so on. That is not the case here. It was very enjoyable and I felt that there wasn't a thing lacking. Jun 28, Karen Hubbard rated it really liked it Shelves: I was worried at first that it was title Sam Reilly 1.

I hoped there wasn't a cliffhanger ending, and there wasn't.

    Kindle Feature Spotlight

At least not overtly cliffhanger-y. The story was taken to its conclusion, but there was one thing left open to pursuing in the next book or two, maybe. The story itself kept me interested. I took the author at his word as far as the science and climbing information went. Bottom line, I liked it enough that I'd read more by this author. Mar 10, Barbara R. Cady rated it really liked it. I found it to be tough to concentrate on for too long and I think it was information overload.

There is so much happening in the story and so many intertwined, hidden agendas, that it was very confusing at times. In the end it's all explained but it just took a long road getting there. May 10, Jeanne Clement rated it liked it. Yes, there were problems with punctuation, a word left out 3 or 4 times, but if you're looking for perfection go to the bookstore.

I thought this was a really diverse adventure, taking me from the bottom of the ocean to mountain peaks, and from past to present. Oct 06, William Beck rated it really liked it. An exciting adventure I enjoyed Sam Reilly's first adventure.. Fast-paced and intriguing, the story held my interest from the start. I have ordered the second book in the series. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars was several points in the plot line that made the tale unrealistic. Nevertheless Chris Cartwright's endeavor is well worth the time. Jun 17, Chris rated it it was ok.

Authors labor over novels so I almost hate saying anything negative about something over which so much time was likely spent.

    Sea of Crises

But this wasn't a great book. The characters were two-dimensional knock-offs of James Bond and Clive Cussler characters which are largely two-dimensional to begin with. The action and adventure was there but proved ridiculous in spots. The dialogue was weak at best. Finally, towards the end of the book as the action reached a peak and the perspective shifted from one sc Authors labor over novels so I almost hate saying anything negative about something over which so much time was likely spent.

Finally, towards the end of the book as the action reached a peak and the perspective shifted from one scene to another, I realized that the action was unfolding out of sequence.

Sea of Crises by Marty Steere

While our heroic main character was getting shot at, the person shooting at him was only at the point at which he was loading the gun. It made for a weird read. Here's the thing though. I got a Kindle bundle of three of the Sam Reilly books. And despite all of the above, they were kind of fun. I'll likely read them. Jan 15, June rated it it was amazing. This is an excellent, excellent book. There was suspense in not knowing what was coming next. Very, very well written! Jan 31, Blair H. Prigg rated it it was amazing.

A great story from beginning to the end. It tied a bit of history with the current. Well written and flowed easily. A little unrealistic, but it didn't make the book any less enjoyable. I will read more by this author. Feb 26, Marti rated it it was amazing.
