Found poetry is created by taking existing texts and refashioning, reordering and presenting them as poems. A zine is a self-published, small-circulation publication. Zines have a long history rooted in DIY cultures and methods of production and are a fast, proactive, cheaper and more democratic alternative to mainstream publishing. We have the utmost pleasure of presenting the launch of this year's Swansea Fringe from Swansea's historic Brangwyn Hall. There'll also be music and comedy performances, exhibitors, activities and more food and drink than you can feasibly consume in an evening. Organised by local man Daniel Hooks. A day sharing examples on social media of poetry inspired by true stories of patients at Bolton Hospice. Creative Therapies is a key part of the wellbeing of patients and poetry is inspired by patient stories, memory boxes and art and craft work produced by patients. Showcase exhibition at Hertford Theatre gallery 29th Oct - 23rd Nov juxtaposing the expressive forms of poetry and photography.

You are warmly invited to submit your poems by 14th Oct - selected works will be wall-mounted and displayed side-by-side with photographic works. There's a lunchtime open mic session on Thursday 3 October.
