In case of the sphere, it is underneath where the sphere meets the surface. This area has no light because, as the sphere protrudes, it blocks light and casts a shadow. It is opposite the light source where the sphere curves away from you. It is the area of the sphere that is in neither direct light nor shadows.

I would organize my art supplies into their right containers rather than just lying around in the table.
Keep supplies that I may not use for that particular project into my storage drawers. Arrange my sketchbooks so that there is some order. For me my iPad and styluses are like my art supplies because I use them as tools to create art. Apart from creating art digitally I do work in other traditional mediums as well. I have a protective sheet to protect my work surface so paint does not seep through.
All I am saying is that it just does not work for me. You get to meet with the artist and learn about their art process and help you spark your own creativity. New age music is my favorite genre and it is always playing in my iPod.

But sometimes listening to the same music genre over and over again can get you bored which in turn may not help you to get in the mood to draw. Because after all change is good!
This has helped me get into the mood to create art. Recently read online that audible is a good website and has tons of audio books. If you are listening to a book on audible. I saw lots of contemporary abstract artist's artworks. I got to learn about the artist, their art style and their artistic process from the friendly docent who is also an art teacher.
I would look online for inspiration. This website features content from over leading museums.

It was high school where Amy discovered colored pencil, but college at the University of Akron where Amy was able to really experiment with other media. She came back to colored pencil because of her love for the translucency of the medium and the layering process that fits her working style and personality.
One day a customer asked if I could produce a piece on Claybord that was primarily graphite but with a tint of color. But I found that if I applied a layer of workable fixative to the graphite, the fixative provided enough texture for the colored pencil to adhere. Once I made that discovery, more experimenting took place, and it just sort of took off from there.
Amy currently teaches about her soft technique with several upcoming workshops. Its rich, black surface offers artists an opportunity to create high-contrast, variously textured images that look striking and one-of-a kind even when the subject itself is quite ordinary. She found colored pencil through one of her instructors and Ampersand panels through an artist peer and a match was made.
When a subject calls to her emotionally, Veronica works in oils. Masks also bring mystery and the unknown into my work and I have infinite inspiration for that coming from Venice, Italy. Currently, Veronica teaches one on one workshops at her studio in Naples.
