Angel found inspiration for most of her new collection, which is being sold in Harvey Norman stores and online, from the stunning interior she created in her home. Aptly called The Chateau, each piece in her range tells a story of hidden treasures uncovered by the family and of the distinctive character of the property. There is also The Heron Collection, inspired by Angel's love of Art Deco and the herons that occupy her new home and eat their fish. The Potagerie Collection brings a touch of nature into the range and was inspired by the walled garden which Dick fell in love with.

Dick named it The Potagerie Suite and the collection has been styled to reflect its name," Angel says. Finally, The Oriental Collection is inspired by another part of the garden and Angel's love for oriental design. Angel and her husband arrive with their children in Northern Ireland this week for an early 60th birthday celebration for Dick with his mum Jenny and family in Ballyclare. We will be stopping at lovely restaurants. It is his 60th in September, so it is an early celebration of that as the kids will be back to school then.

Vampire hunter Elena Deveraux knows she is the best - but she does not know if even she is good enough for this job. Hired by the dangerously beautiful archangel Raphael, a being so lethal that no mortal wants his attention, Elena knows failure is not an option - even if the task is impossible.

Because this time, it's not a wayward vamp she has to track. It's an archangel gone bad. The job will put Elena in the midst of a killing spree like no other - and pull her to the razor's edge of passion. Even if the hunt does not destroy her, succumbing to Raphael's seductive touch just might. For when archangels play, mortals break. This was my second time listening to this book and I enjoyed it more the first time. I only re-listened to it because it was chosen for my book club and I couldn't remember it well enough for a discussion. I was enjoyable and full of excitement, Raphael was HOT and a little bit of an Ass in the beginning but I grew to love him.

I loved that the author mixes vampires, angels and a special human breed to hunt vampires. The narration was great, I love Justine Eyre but I will say she sounds more like an English afternoon tea kinda women than a young Vampire hunter. This storyline is so good and refreshing. I do not even know what to say about the narrator.

Her voice has a lot of vibrato. She is not bad BUT different. There were times when I truly tried to get into the story and accept with an open heart and mind the shaky voice telling it. However, toward the end, I found it a real challenge to listen to the story without being distracted by the narrator's unique voice.

Angel Number 3737

This is one of those times when you either love her voice or hate it. Listen to a sample and take it from there. I really liked the story though. Not having read anything but this Author, the reviews are what tempted me to give it a try. I am not a fan of cheesy romances or books of this genre that can be just one sexual escape after another.

I mean, come on, how bout a page turning plot that happens to have a hot romantic story to it too.

And this is what Singh delivers. I found this writer much better than others like Christine Feehan or Karen Moning who i found utterly predictable and boring. Loved it. So much so that i went out and bought the second of the series which was equally well written! Shame on Audible for not carring more books from this series. You wont regret dropping a credit on this one. Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent?

Why or why not? Ok if you're bored. How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable? I realized that I like my stories like the early Anita Blake novels- that is, driven by action with the romance there, but on the side. And that was my expectation going in. However, I found that this was more post-"Narcissus in Chains" where romance was in the driver's seat and action seemed like an afterthought.

The whole first half of the story seemed to be just Elena and Raphael's romance, which was well done, but left me thinking "you know, this whole delusional angel thing seems pretty important, so why has Elena done nothing but talk, hide, and almost have sex? And she seems like she could use a little more wear-weariness and hardening. However, one thing I did enjoy was that the author creates a great world and there is a lot of depth to it.

It seemed to take sooo much exposition, but it was very original. It was a fun ride, but you definitely felt the bumps along the way. I have already purchased the second book because I did like the story and I want to see if goes a little more smoothly the next time around.

Grand Canyon National Park Hotels and Places to Stay

How could the performance have been better? I'm used to listening to LibriVox recordings, so at first I thought Eyre did a pretty good job, but as I got more used to hearing her voice, I realized that I had a serious problem with it. She seems too prissy and so the scenes where Elena needed to have a lot of attitude came of as corny and grating. It felt like Eyre isn't the type of person that naturally cusses much, so the curse words come out lacking conviction and sounding weird.

I feel like the narrator was part of the reason why Elena didn't come off as b. However, I loved her range of accents. Did Angels' Blood inspire you to do anything? Yes, it inspired me to go back to writing because I found myself craving something with a little more action and kick-butt-ery. A really good story with one sex scene with not much detail. This is the first book in Nalini Singh's Guild Hunters series.
