Very heavy traffic. A few mud holes. The lake Was empty. A little disappointed. My family and I had a great time of the trail. We spent about 1. There was about 8 inches of snow and spots were icy, but we were able to explore and experience the area.

Saffron Barker #2 strictly annoying!

The trail was very busy. It is a nice easy trail for those who have no mobility issues. There are steps and when we went there was snow. Make sure to use your hiking shoe spikes as it gets slippery and makes the walk around the trail slightly not enjoyable since you are then mostly looking down and not up to see the large rocks and trees. Nice spot for photos by the lake, especially now since it is frozen. There was a small stream when we went since it had been snowing so it was also muddy.

Parking lot has bathroom at the entrance. There is also a park ranger at the entrance controlling people in and out of the parking lot. Be patient or you will be forced to park further away and walk on the road with people who are not planning on slowing down for you or anyone else. This trail was very icy and wet when I went which made this walk unexpectedly challenging. It was also pretty crowded with families - the parking lot was full when we arrived, however someone happened to leave once we reached the main parking lot and so the rangers let us enter.

The dam water was frozen, making for a pretty scene though!

The part of the trail that goes past the dam and to the main petroglyphs is marked but looks tricky when going around some rocks. Arrived and we were greeted, shown window table, given comp glass of bubbles, Nowhere on the voucher does it say it must all be used in one transaction.

And sister called into the baker hotel on Saturday night for dinner the service was excellent and the meal you could not fault it it was beautiful nicely presented and nice friendly staff there deserts where also very good great value family friendly Alfresco would be fab on a warmer day, great set up.
