Whether French or Amerindian, they often met this death calmly as early Christian martyrs, or brave Algonquian warrior. Spain , brought to the Americas more than 3. The University of al-Qarawiyyin is older than that of Bologna, but Muslim universities until relatively recently did not allow study of the breadth of subjects offered in the European universities. They concentrate on Islamic religious and legal sciences with a heavy emphasis on Classical Arabic and law as understood under Islam.

Quite the contrary of politically correct doctrine, the advance of Western thought owes a huge debt of gratitude to the Catholic Church. Can you point to a reference?

Those who dig up history and try to use it as a weapon should be rejected outright. Do the Mongolians of today have shame for the destruction of Baghdad? Which set Middle East back hundreds of years. The devastation of China? The subjugation of modern day Russia? Sure you can acknowledge something happened. Trying to atone is nonsense as well as showing any guilt for something you had no part in.

Just as your legacy is built off your ancestors victories and defeats and the consequences of them, so is everyone elses. To pretend as if there needs to be compensation for the actions your genetic legacy from years ago to now is laughable and should be dismissed as such. Based on your claim β€” the genetic history of mankind starts with Africa. Whether i have to dismiss brutal treatment by people claiming to be bringers of Christ β€” is another matter.

Turks and the state of Turkey still are trying to erase what is left of the Armenian nation β€” the Republic of Armenia. The fascist, genocidal state of Turkey is actively supporting the criminal Aliyev regime and the fake state of Azerbaijan in their goal of exterminating the native people of Artsakh aka Nagorno Karabagh , the indigenous Armenians.

During the Artsakh war of , retired Turks, NATO generals and officers, were in Baku advising the mass-murderers in their attempted extermination of Artsakh Armenians by their Caspian Turk cousins. And on, and on, and on….. Turks have never given up their centuries long goal of wiping out every last Armenian from our ancestral lands.

Safaroglu aka Safarov is a national hero sic in his native Turkbaijan for murdering a sleeping Armenian officer with an axe. Here is a brief anecdote, if I may. A few weeks ago I accepted an invitation to visit a museum in Shenzhen PRC , where one of the curators presented a 1, year old burial vault of a prominent Chinese merchant.

The vault itself was several feet wide and greater in length and had been lined with stone tablets or tiles, each about 2 feet by nearly 3 feet high. Once unearthed, the tomb had been pilfered and the curator spent 10 years searching out the tiles from China, Europe and the USA. The pieces were valued, because of the figures etched in detail on each one. There was no writing on them, but, assembled, they told in picture form a loose biography of the deceased. Now, to my point. The Chinese had slaves taken from East Africa by Arabs, I suppose who worked on the Silk Road, and all this was relevant to the deceased merchant.

I studied one particular panel consumed entirely by an African slave with head askew, holding a stringed instrument similar to a lute or banjo, and with legs and feet flung upward in jointless abandon.

The curator explained to me that the Negroes liked to drink bai jiu hootch , make music and dance. That was 1, years ago in China. This man is a highly cultivated and highly respected art collector. His credentials are impeccable, and he is straightforward and entirely bereft of the kind of sheepish chagrin you would expect of his American or British counterpart. He is, in other words, not about bullshit. To me, white American that I am, this was the highlight of the day, this one panel. I marveled that I had never heard Negroes ever complain of being subjugated as slaves by the Chinese.

Doubtless, the Chinese have never heard that, either, and for good reason. These people have faced real problems, but they keep it to themselves. And they work. Well, that may fly in the JewSA, but only because we allow it. If you want something, work for it. Thanks and good ridance. The Unz Review - Mobile. User Settings: Version? Social Media?

Beyond Pedagogy

This contemporary Aztec drawing of a human sacrifice ritual shows a priest cutting out the heart of a victim. Miller and K. Taube, p.

Following the ceremony in which humans are sacrificed to their gods, high-ranking Aztecs eat the flesh of the victims. After [the sacrifice] they placed many large earthen cooking jars of that human meat in front of the idol they called Mictlantecutli, which means lord of the place of the dead, as it is mentioned in other parts [of this book].

And they gave and distributed it to the nobles and overseers, and to those who served inthe temple ofthe demon, whom they called tlamacazqui [priests]. And these [persons] distributed among their friends and families that [flesh] and these [persons] which they had given [to the god as a human victim]. They say it tasted like pork meat tastes now. And for this reason pork is very desirable among them.

Human sacrifice, often accompanied by ceremonial cannibalism, was a feature of Aztec religious ritual.
