Also like the appearance of his new right hand Miss Victoria Hand, very practical view on life, hoping that she will stay in stories longer. Even she is not in favour of Nick Fury :- Insteresting was also Ares finding out that his own son is trained by Fury himself and taking it very calmly - wouldn't expect that from God of War but times obviously changed :- Overall good story very interesting writing and good interlinking with New Avengers.

The Definitive Hercules Collecting Guide and Reading Order

Mar 19, Neil McCrea rated it really liked it Shelves: graphic-novel , superhero. The second half of the Norman Osborn's psychotic Avengers run. Lots of good stuff in this one, including the villains warming up to their government gig and some important character development business between Ares and Nick Fury. At core of this volume is a conflict between the Molecule Man and the Dark Avengers. Owen Reese, the Molecule Man, is an old school Marvel villain. He is essentially a classic Star Trek type foe, omnipotent being with a stunted adolescent personality.

The delight in The second half of the Norman Osborn's psychotic Avengers run. The delight in this issue is in seeing the hoary old 60's sci-fi trope come into contact with this amoral group of villains. Picard and company could defuse a situation with Q by the power of their virtue alone. What would have happened if Q had visited with a group of Romulons instead of the moral exemplars of the Enterprise?

I'm not exactly sure, but I bet the dynamic would look a lot like the Dark Avengers vs Molecule man situation. Lots of fun. Apr 03, Sonic rated it it was amazing. Super Fun! In a way these "Dark" Avengers are more fun and interesting than the good guys! May 21, Artemy rated it it was amazing Shelves: 5-stars , comics , marvel. Even better than volume 1. Absolutely amazing series. Nov 20, Anne rated it it was amazing Shelves: read-in , comics , graphic-novels , random-grabs-from-library. Lots of fun! Totally enjoyed all of the new psycho Avengers!

Looks like it will be a blast to watch them eat each other alive. Jul 14, Kyle Berk rated it it was ok Shelves: read-in This comic is perfectly enjoyable. I would describe it as fun. Not building up, but waiting for the next event. It has some interesting character interactions like with Ares and his son. As with the first volume, I'm struck by the prescience of this series: the worst people in the world given the chance to do things their way.

We get a bunch of different "heroes" approaching problems in a different way: they're wins and I guess we're cheering for them in some way, but their successes are messy and problematic. It's a fascinating and fun new take on the superhero team-up. Such a shame there's only one more volume: far less interesting books have run for years. Sep 25, Jeremy rated it liked it. Eh, kinda boring. Molecule Man is horny, though.

Aug 29, Derrick rated it really liked it Shelves: comics-digital , comics-marvel , comics. Art continues to be top notch. Bendis brings some great character moments.

I like the bit where they're arguing over whether Spider-man is funny. Bullseye thinks he is. Dec 04, Matt rated it liked it Shelves: marvel , spider-man , graphic-novels. In some ways it feels like this series just gives more background information for the more important "New Avengers" series by Bendis.

Jan 28, Neil rated it really liked it. To take a bunch of misfit, psychopathic villains, and let them take the place of the most iconic superhero group, you'd better be a top notch writer to manage to pull this off. Bendis is such a writer, taking what could be the lamest of concepts and potentially lamest of characters and giving them depth and a sense of reality that even if they are despicable, you are still drawn to follow them and be engrossed in their violent tragedy.

To make Ares and Moonstone actually three dimensional To take a bunch of misfit, psychopathic villains, and let them take the place of the most iconic superhero group, you'd better be a top notch writer to manage to pull this off. To make Ares and Moonstone actually three dimensional takes a lot of skill and commitment to the inherently, fascinating and human aspects of what could be four color cliches.

Great stuff all around, and a wonderful use of the stupidest character Marvel ever created, the Molecule Man. When you realize that this supremely insipid, but supremely powerful character was second to the crazy power of the Sentinel, you begin to hope that the resolution to the Sentinel's ultimate secret and place in the Marvel universe will be as great as the series that introduced him. I'm definitely looking forward to more! Jun 12, Shannon Appelcline rated it it was amazing Shelves: comics , comics-marvel. Ares 9. This little crossover with Secret Warriors Omnibus is surprisingly powerful because we get to learn about Ares' relationship with Alex Phobos and his Molecule Man This is another epic battle, though it's more typical superhero fare than the great Ares one-off.

Dec 12, Lissa rated it really liked it Shelves: read-in , fiction , comics. Although not as good as the first Dark Avengers trade, this is still a fun read. I love how the team is so dysfunctional; it's very entertaining. In this trade, the team takes on Molecule Man, who has holed up in Dinosaur, Colorado which was even funnier for me, as I live in Colorado and know exactly where Dinosaur is. Norman, meanwhile, edges even closer to insanity and failure like we didn't know that was going to happen.

I'll be sad to see Dark Avengers go away. This is one of my favorite Although not as good as the first Dark Avengers trade, this is still a fun read. This is one of my favorite titles in Marvel right now, and I can definitely see myself re-reading the two Dark Avengers trades in the future. Mar 13, Fizzgig76 rated it liked it Shelves: graphic-novels-and-trade-paperbacks. Reprints Dark Avengers Osborn's Avengers face the threat of the Molecule Man and continue to become more and more disconnected.

The Dark Avengers is Bendis best mainstream stuff in a while. He usually can't write team book and he definately can't write "epic" crossovers , but the art and style of the Dark Avengers does work. It would be nice to have more character development because the course of this series is so sort and it kept getting sucked into bigger story arcs like Utopia and Reprints Dark Avengers It would be nice to have more character development because the course of this series is so sort and it kept getting sucked into bigger story arcs like Utopia and Siege.

Dark avengers is a refreshing take on a classic group. Norman Osborn and his flunky crew are trying to protect the planet, or are they? I love the internal conflict with the dark avengers, mean while the good guys are no where to be seen! Will sentry come back? Is the vulture losing his grip? Is moonstone trying to kill bullseye???

Wrath of the Titans Official Trailer #1 - Sam Worthington Movie (2012) HD

Although this is a fun romp with the Molecule Man it has none of the snappy dialogue or character that the previous volume has. It is redeemed through the development of Hand and Osborne but I was certainly left wanting more. Aug 10, Lieblingsbuch Kenny Vierck rated it really liked it. The story and drawings were good. The story was shorter than the first volume, but that is because they put less total comics in this one. I read it in one sitting because the story was very engaging, though I wanted to keep reading, so I'll have to find the third volume somewhere.

The Dark Avengers are starting to realise they have to do the old Avengers jobs. Theres a lovely moment with Ares and his son, its a shame that wasn't expanded otherwise I would have given this 4 stars.

Also Norman Osborne's mental instability is finally coming out more in the public or semi-public, I guess, since it is his workers. Jul 13, Craig rated it liked it. Nice artwork by Deodato and pretty good story by Bendis, this could still be a lot better Jan 17, Paul Allard rated it really liked it.

Good yarn - well recommended as it deals with Ares and his son, Norman Osborn and his deteriorating mental state and their confrontation with the Molecule Man. Feb 03, James Dunphy rated it really liked it.
